*5 Years Later* VG MYTHS- CAN YOU BEAT “X” GAME WITHOUT EVEN TURNING THE CONSOLE ON “so you might think it is impossible, but by exploiting this one speedrunning trick.....”
The Blue Robot Guy Who Looks Like Sonic Whose Actual Name And Relation To A Certain Other Blue Robot Guy Who Looks Like Sonic Has Never Really Been Conclusively Determined is my favorite Sonic character
More seriously I was using two emu profiles while doing this game casually and one (stable 30 fps on my device) was crashing everytime you get a level up, and second (around 20 fps) was crashing everytime you open the pause menu....
I know this was on an emulator, but imagine if he played this with an actual controller. All of the buttons look worn, but the right button is in pristine shape. Those who look upon it scratch their heads in confusion.
i know this is a joke but then that means youre pressing left to go right, which means you are going both directions and therefore is just doing a normal sonic playthrough
Dwane Dibly hey, that's my second favourite character! But I absolutely hate: *breathes in* *That blue robot guy who looks like sonic who's name and relation to another blue robot guy who looks like sonic has never been consecutively determined.* Man, he sucks.
Aw man I love "The Blue robot guy who looks like sonic whose actual name and relation to another certain blue robot guy who looks like sonic has never been conclusively determined". I'm pretty sure "The Blue robot guy who looks like sonic whose actual name and relation to another certain blue robot guy who looks like sonic has never been conclusively determined" deserves their own game.
I think "The Blue robot guy who looks like sonic whose actual name and relation to another certain blue robot guy who looks like sonic has never been conclusively determined" ended up coming back later in the comics, which was very cool.
The left press in Marble Garden could probably be just barely skipped by gliding into the hitbox on the face and jumping every time you hit the floor to maintain momentum. It's gonna be really hard and have extremely strict timing.
EDIT: Turns out Razor and Zenon actually also did a playthrough of a mod that automatically kills you if you press left or right (in most scenarios). It doesn't seem to be a 100% accurate version of the game, with concessions made such as adding in springs, but it's a great way to simulate the run. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5xcaGkyeZRA.html A note on the 2nd Left Press: there does exist a zip glitch in Marble Garden Zone that could potentially be used to skip to the boss, but I'm an idiot so it's not mentioned anywhere in the video. I've yet to actually figure out how to get through it myself without horizontal movement, but it's very likely the second press can be shaved off using this glitch.
Can you beat any Pokemon games using only starter pokemon? So this means only 1 pokemon in party, but if its too hard, you can add in your party one HM slave pokemon up to 4 HM moves and they cant be changed and it cant be used in fights. So in short: Try first beat any game with starter pokemon only (It will be also your HM slave) If that doesn't work, Starter pkmn + 1 wild pokemon that will be your HM slave* * Extra challenge: If you have to get HM slave, try avoid giving all 4 HM moves, try keep it minimum.
TimppaFin93 I don’t think that be a good idea. With how versatile each Pokémon is, all you need to do is have a lot of money to grind potion and a lots and lots of grinding.
Not counting the cycle required to get the Ocarina of Time, it's very possible to beat the entire game in one cycle. However, even with glitches it's impossible to beat the game on the first cycle. You NEED the Ocarina Of time to become human, and the Ocarina of Time is at the end of the first cycle. That's why World Record Runner EnNopp112 still has to do first cycle in his 1:15:59
Beat a Sonic game without collecting any rings. EDIT: 100 likes? Wow. I never expected to get that far with _any_ comment, let alone a random request on a Sonic video.
I don’t mean without taking a hit. I mean having your ring counter never leave zero. Most zones have an area where most players would be forced to collect a ring, and I’d like to see Gamechamp get around those areas.
If I remember right, the first Sonic game was (possibly deliberately) designed in a way that it is possible, if tricky, to complete the game without getting a single ring. The "omochao edition" fan mod "encourages" this playstyle by having the Sonic Adventure 2 tutorial robot, Omochao, interrupt the game with an increasingly longer tutorial message each time you grab one.
Tried to beat Megaman 3 without sliding. It kind of worked after I beat Magnet Man, Shadow Man and Spark Man, but I couldn’t get past the rest of the game now. Top man and Hard Man’s stages were impossible to get through because their stages put you into a soft lock. Even trying to use Rush Jet to get through the sliding parts is a pain. But I will dare you. To try and get through Megaman 3 without sliding.
For those wondering why he tried to avoid pressing left, it’s to make the run even slightly challenging. If he could just press left whenever, the run would basically just be “Sonic 3 & Knuckles but a little longer”.
You got The Blue Robot Guy Who Looks Like Sonic Whose Actual Name And Relation To A Certain Other Blue Robot Guy Who Looks Like Sonic Has Never Really Been Conclusively Determined's name wrong.
Blue Robot Guy Often Referred To As Mecha But Never Conclusively Dubbed And Often Being Mistaken For A Blue Spiky Animal's Robotic Clone Because Of Similar Design But Barely Related To Blue Spiky Animal's Robotic Clone And As A Result Causing Worldwide War, Confusion, &Knuckles? Fight me. (Just kidding please don't)
Ironically when I first played Sonic 3 & Knuckles my d-pad was broken, so I attempted to beat the game without pressing right. It went about as well as it sounds.
This is gonna be a really weird compliment, but thank you for being such a fast speaker. I often have to increase the video speed to 1.25x or sometimes even 1.5x because I have trouble listening to slow talkers, so it's really refreshing when I can watch a video at the default speed.
0.5 a presses is when you hold the a button from a required a press earlier in the run but if there no a presses before it you have to press a so a 0.5 a press run isn't possible on any game and in sonic 3 and knuckles there isn't anything you can do by holding a.
Surfing Mudkip idk by the end it may just be too hard to even try- in a speed run you still get a bit of friends because it’d be too bad without. I’ll try and see if you’re right cuz I really don’t know
I was always under the impression Blue Robot Guy Who Looks Like Sonic From Sonic 3 And Knuckles For The Sega Genesis Which Is Known As The Sega Megadrive In Other Territories was just called "Mecha Sonic", it's not official but it seems to be the most widely accepted name, just like Silver Sonic from 2.
Yeah, the robo-sonics in general seem to have a lot of name confusion. At least Metal Sonic is near-universally called Metal Sonic. The other guys aren't near as lucky.
mdudegamer so it's that why Metal Sonic get's all of the attention while the superrior Mecha Sonic is left as a one time villain? Because of the name? what a shame...
Well it's also because Metal Sonic tends to get more story-driven focus than Mecha Sonic. The most you see of Mecha Sonic are boss fights that don't usually last long. Metal Sonic has had at least 3-4 stories centered around him or with him in it. He also just tends to appear more. But idk, I'm not into Sonic as I used to be so I could be wrong about all that.
the blue robot guy who looks like sonic who's actual name and relation to another blue robot guy who also looks like sonic has never been conclusively determined and knuckles
Chemical plant is impossible. You get to a branching path, one to the left, and one breakable wall to the right. The left path leads to one left press and eventualy a spring against a left wall. Because the spring is right next to the wall, you can't move off it without pressing right. The other path has a path unique to knuckles. It requires you to drop down under a small roof and bounce onto a platform to your, you guessed it, RIGHT. It might be possible to bounce at an angle under the roof but there is a retracting spike trap on the roof too. So it would need to be pixel perfect. Also, the mean bean machine boss might not be as impossible as you think. Remember, left presses are allowed. Just not encouraged.
Can you beat Minecraft without mining any blocks? (As in, kill the Ender Dragon) _Technically_ this _could_ be possible. Get a seed where the stronghold is connected to the surface in some way (a cave for example) then kill some skeletons and endermen. If you get good RNG you can get a bow and arrows from the skeletons and eyes of ender from the enderman that you can use on the end portal. From there you just need good aim and good luck!
you need blaze powder as well as ender pearls to make ender eyes, so you'd have to get to the Nether too. Which is still totally possible without mining, although tricky. The more difficult part might me navigating the Nether without mining, you might have to build a few portals to find a good spot.
There are a lot of things that are usually triggered by spinning that can instead be triggered by ground pounds, but I don't think the crystals are one of them.
No. There are points in both games where you have to spin (e.g Galaxy 1's Grand Star Rescue, the tutorial stage). If I did/set him an SMG/2 challenge, it would be no special jumps (long jumps, backflips, sideflips and walljumps).
I had a Genesis d-pad break in late 1991 and we weren't going to Meijer for a couple days and I just rented a game (DJ Boy) and wanted to play it. So 11 year old me opened the pad, took a good look at the contacts and suplerglued in a needle so they could connect. It worked long enough for me to beat the game.
+Exoria I love how the notion of electronics repair is so foreign to people now that people assume stories like that to be false. Back in the 90s shit like that was really common. That was a time when instead of sending a device to a company to be repaired for an extortionate price, you took that shit to RadioShack and fixed it yourself. Literally everyone knew how to open up their electronic devices. Literally every single person who owned one.
In 3 minutes in and I'm realizing something. The goal of the video is to beat the game without touching the right button on the d-pad. So why is he trying to beat it without touching it at all.....? Like, he's even explained how to move left if need be, and that spring he said was a problem earlier, he could had just moved left... becuase you can move left on the challenge... Just not right.........
I feel like nobody who has commented has played Mania, when playing as Sonic & Tails, the camera focuses on Sonic, so when playing with only Tails, you have to memorize or have a map of the entire level because the camera doesn't follow Tails. *T H A T W A S A J O K E*
I'm thinking I might do a No Copy Ability run of Star Allies sometime. As far as non-Kirby characters are concerned, they must be filled by the Human Players 2-4 slots, with the controllers left idle unless the level dictates otherwise. Also, no reviving dead party members, and only allowed to add to your party when it's required. You might think it's impossible because of Meta Knight requiring you to use the Sword ability, but it's only "required" in quotation marks. If you stand on Meta Knight's platform, he'll fall down and throw your sword in the trash.
