Two more broken n64 games, in this video I will be trying a different technique at patching a trace.
Refillable Flux Pen I used in this video (keep in mind this is the rosin flux NOT the no clean variant).

Great video , need a thin brush and apply like points. The end result will be similar to a globtop. I have some pictures i cand send to you of my last fix. You get better using paint from repair to repair. Thanx for the name bro

Yes, I have learned you have to let the paint dry before it becomes super conductive. I have another video coming up that I use the paint again, stay tuned for that in the future.

I love seeing you try new repair ideas (conductive paint and the model glue in the frogger vid) Great stuff. No need to apologize on the video frequency. The world is a crazy place right now. Take care.

Fun video! Conductive paint! That would've made quite a few repairs much easier. I can't help but wonder about the longevity of a wire vs conductive paint. Still, awesome to see the repair. Take care in these crazy times!

It's okay, man. If you gotta slow down a bit due to work being crazy, you gotta do what you gotta do. i appreciate seeing you do these things as I would love to work on more of this kind of stuff myself, but am saving for other things like replacing the front suspension on my car as one of them is basically a tube and a spring at the moment and the other is doing all the work through a swaybar with bad bushings.

@@PunkNDisorderlyGamer Well I mean, my car's super friggin sloppy compared to most but still going. It's a 1992 Toyota Paseo clocking in 326,000km (202,500 miles) and still somehow going so there's bound to be problems with it. Still better than when I bought it though

I feel like it would have been a cleaner solution to patch those broken traces in the spots they were cut, like you can see the 2 spots they cut off. With just solder or a tiny piece of wire, coulda saved the hassle with the cart brace. All in all great job man, def looking forward to your next videos! edit: talking about the smash cart btw

Those plastic braces were a horrible design. You see so many of those carts broken in that same area because the braces nick them as people wiggled the cartridge during insertion. Keep up the good fixes!

Have you ever put Flux on the cartridge pins and drag a clean soldering iron over them? Cleans even the dirtiest connectors if you're ever desperate
@PunkNDisorderlyGamer
@PunkNDisorderlyGamer 4 года назад
Never tried that before, I just use Brasso, it usually works like a charm.
@stridervanmeter8409

its a pretty bad idea in my opinion. the reason they use gold for connectors is because it doesnt tarnish and it can be pretty hard so it doesnt deform. solder both tarnishes and deforms in these situations. ive tried it, it works but theres better options.

Once again another Great Video. Since your channel is Growing it wouldnt be a bad Idea to start a Patreon to help with Video funding. Believe me I know that even broken game Systems and carts have gone up in price.

I probably won't be setting up a Patreon at least not at this time. With everyone losing their jobs and needing to pay rent and bills I wouldn't feel comfortable accepting any money from anyone. I would prefer people to keep their families taken care of first.

@@PunkNDisorderlyGamer I went back and hunted this down. Its some kinda bot. It goes by Tom, or Logan or Music or trap. Its got thousands of compromised channels, real channels, that are upping its channel's views. It pops up minutes after I put up a vid. No one knows as of this moment how its getting the channels but tom/logan is focusing on smaller ones like ours with comments. Prob best to "hide it from channel" and don't interact with it. I've seen it for months and youtube has been unable to get rid of it or even move it to the spam section. A lot of bigger channels are now aware of it so I'm hopeful that whatever is happening, is resolved soon.
