Deliberate Close Quarters Clearance is the type of CQC we at VGS teach as our standard operating procedure. It utilizes distance and angles, cover and concealment to clear the majority of the room from the threshold before entering dynamically.

Badass training. I’ve been to a ton of VGS classes and it’s top notch training. This old school they use with UTM’s and live action role players gives everyone as realistic training as possible while remaining 100% safe.

Definitely refreshing. The Shipley stuff is old..it's good this see the stacks where the knowledge transfer isn't about the "Shipley" way. It's great. Keep dropping bodies fella.

Genuinely curious about most of these movements… So given this is “five man” size team work, I have a ton of questions regarding the hallway domination. I lost count of how many times we see a single dude stacking on a closed threat and the team bypassing to continue stacking a single body on many more closed threats. (Well versed in 1/2/3 bumps, but that’s all based on lever team structure). How do we justify dropping/bumping 3, or even as shown, 4 closed doors and putting only a single man on them as a five man team? Not even going to bring up them holding on the hinge side of an outward door in the 3:40-50 time frames… I’ll even leave out the obvious one-man room entry in the first third of the video… But I’d summarize my query with this: while working small team structure clearance, I’d love to hear this walkthrough talk through’s audio in regards to spreading the team so unusually thin and working a TON of one-man doorway assessments and even single file hallways navigation such as seen in 2:59. While this is captioned “deliberate”, I’m just curious as to why so many closed threats are bypassed, one-man only doorway pans, and even one-man room entries are being presented to the community. If truly deliberate slow search, would it not be more beneficial towards the objective to work entries and secondaries on every room in a hallway while leaving hallways security [to team maneuver sop] until a driving catalyst is encountered? I’m digesting this video as “one man does everything, everyone else follow” CQB.
