I remember my daddy taking me and my sister to our very first concert back in the 70’s it was Parliament. This wonderful group was the best concert I ever experience.
I got into the music in my twenties and it has grown with me all these years later now that I’m in my fifties. George is an incredible artist/catalyst/shaman/writer/visionary. He was the head of the team - and what a team of geniuses he had. Awe inspiring music and attitude.

ACTUALLY Sly Stone was the original Funk Master who George Clinton credited in interviews for influencing him after The Parliament disbanded. I was a pre-teen and teenager in the 60's , 70's and 80's and was fortunate to see many artists during that era in concert , especially Sly and The Family Stone , Earth Wind and Fire, Rick James and Tina Marie , and James Brown. I also still have 45 vinyl records and Albums of many artist of those era's.😊

There were a lot of things was going on when they first got started as a doo wop group with a bit of success to the record company close up shop and take the first group name with them, so that’s when George decided to concentrate on the group’s back up band Funkadelic bringing a lot success from that and getting Parliament back and combining the two together and come up with some of the greatest hit songs we come to know and love, with all that George spun off different acts out of the group as years go by, George did his solo thing but he fight with the record companies just get what’s owed to him with so many musicians on different record labels and George is the executive producer on most of them, the record execs are shady forging his signature on something he didn’t do, a lot of rap and hip hop acts are sampling his music and he not getting any royalties out of it and having the late Bernie Worrell’s family to sue George because they fill he didn’t get paid for all the work he has done for George and P-Funk crew, George Clinton is still doing his thing with the P-Funk All Stars 🤘🏾

Funk as well as blues or flamenco, almost don't have flow or defined shape like a song has, for instance, due to being more of a language, an outlet to rage and many other feelings in a rythmic manner along with a sound repertoire they did knew so well but they were developing its structure constantly, stretching it further, thats why it may sound chaotic to you, respectfully, i think thats my take and answer by reflex to your statement, without condescending you at all. To me, it press some buttons to my senses, so the dancer in me arises, a thing that many dancing types of musical styles won't do as easy as Funk, when i listen this ppl, i feel like i'm at home, at ease, i can move my body, though i'm a terrible dancer due to lack of confidence, without feeling shame in front of ppl at street or train stations and public places in general, just for the sake of dance, i make my living as a guitarist and singer, but dancing s my Aquiles heel, and thanks to Funk i forget everything for some minutes. If it doesnt cut it like that for you, i can understand that, since this kind of primal types of music arent a thing for everyones taste, i think.
