6 meter band is frustrating and honestly, I just about have given up on it. even when there are openings--which are indeed sporadic--, not much people are on SSB
Unfortunately true. Most folks use CW or FT8. It’s sad. 😔. Check your area for local nets on SSB and local fm repeaters. I can’t agree with you more. Unless there is a contest then most folks are dormant. I listen and call CQ on between 50.125 - 50.160 USB. Hope more folks use Phone more. 73 Gabaab.
