Thank you for making this video. I have recently purchased a radio and have never seen a DSC call made. Takes a bit of the mystery our of it.

Very nice. Just curious, since no one can hear you, why do you check to see if there is no communication traffic on the frequency before you place the DSC call?

You need to make sure the channel is empty or you will block their communication as only one person can talk at a time

Strictly line of sight, however..

most of the time, it can change with atmospheric anomalies, but the height is measured from the antenna.
