This is the best tribute I've seen of Vi, so beautifully done but so heartbreaking. Vi really went through SO MUCH, she tried so hard to protect everyone but ended up losing everything she loved, I hope she gets a little bit of happiness in S2 and for her to come to terms with her past so she can move forward.
Vi is absolutely amazing. I haven't seen a female character this well written in so long. She is strong, flawed, full of heart and emotion, determined, hopeful, street smart, loving, loyal, and exercises agency. The writers had enough respect to put her through horrible trails and tribulations. They weren't afraid to show her emtions through her struggles. They would tear her down and she would get back up. This is true strength shown in story telling. Hollywood should take notes instead of regurgitating the same shallow lifeless tired female heros they have for so many years now. Finally a woman who feels like a real human being. This is what a hero should be written like.
Season 2 is confirmed. The reason we were confused is that you said you wish vi had more screen time in season 2 which sounded like you had already seen season 2.
I've have seen a lot Arcane videos, Vi tributes included, and what I really missed was what you have done. Most Vi videos are about either how badass she is or about her relatonship with Caitlyn or Jinx. And don't get me wrong - I like those sides of her as well. But I feel like she is underestimated with how strong she is NOT just physically. She went through so much and still managed to remain very decent person (albeit with very understandable issues). I hope season 2 touch more that side of her, of how broken she really is, powering through everything with sheer strength of will. I'm glad that your video highlights this side of Vi.
This is the best Vi video I’ve seen! You really captured all the trauma and crap she’s been through but above all how strong she is. People tend to only focus on Jinx’s trauma. This is the video Vi deserved and we all needed. Thank you!
This is criminally underrated, this is the best edit of Vi I've seen and captures her so beautifully. Trauma shouldn't be compared, but I don't think it's unfair to say that in many ways Vi lost and endured the most. She became Powder's parental figure when she was just a kid. She alone had to bear the responsibility for their group. No one really gives enough attention to Vi's trauma. She saw her parents die, then her next one-she was right there. She saw everything. And despite it all she remained so strong with such a good heart. Every time something went wrong for most of their lives, whose responsibility was it? Vi's. Vi never got to be a child. She deserves better. She's my favourite.
Not to mention a line that caught my attention in the bedroom scenes when Vi recounts to Caitlyn when her and Powder were playing together and Vi got carried away. She wanted her parents not to be awaken by Powder crying, so it might be that their parents worked themselves to the bone and what little sleep they would get Vi didn't want them to lose it. I think she was literally be there for Powder when their parents weren't at home because they were working even when she was a child. The more I look into Vi's story and character, the more I admire her. I hope she will get to enjoy some solace in the next season. She deserves it.
This broke me again. I didnt imagined how tragic the story of VI and jinx actually is. I feel sorry for both of them. It was so unfair for them. Jinx got traumatized after the accident and vis leaving. But VI went through so much pain too. It is so well written i cant. I liked the series so much. And yeah this video is soooo good.
I’m vi on the outside, always protecting my siblings and trying to shelter them, but on the inside- when no one’s around I’m jinx; someone who’s so broken, mistrusting everyone I meet. Never opening up to ppl and realizing no one is ever going to save me.
If you think about it, this makes you even more like Vi, Vi is broken inside and has a hard time trusting people outside her circle, and even within it she takes on the role of caretaker, so she doesn't rely on others. There is a video here on youtube that analyzes Vi's attachment and shows how she is avoidant
Alright, I've watched all 3 (exaggerating) deep character analysis of her plus just tributes and NONE of them succeeded in what you did here. I'm so happy you made a literal Vi video, all the other ones kept bringing in Jinx and her point of view which ruined the overall sync and flow of their videos- but you? You said she was your favorite and it allowed you to vid HER story, HER side, how she views the events that happened. You didn't make it about both of them, you kept it focused on how what happens in her life affects her and how she sees her own actions. I am awestruck at the structure of this video, the parallels and the foreshadowing and how you put them all together into this masterpiece. Hands down my favorite video of her.
Wow thankyou so much! I'm so glad you noticed what I was trying to do with this video. I can't explain it but I had such a deep connection with her and focused it completely on her and not anyone else. Thanks again.
Unlike most videos, This one did a good job capturing all the trauma poor vi has been through. Her trauma is so transparent for the viewer to see and yet she still has a sense of her own morality to protect her loved ones while remaining neutral. People paint her as a god awful person for lashing out on jinx who was the cause of her family’s death and the dinner scene as if she wasn’t drugged and locked in prison not knowing what this guy has done but almost would’ve stabbed her sister.
At 2:30 this thrill... Vi is by far my preferred character. Combative and weak, caring and strong. The work they gave into this story gives me strength and will. No doubts it's one of the best edit on VI, great job, you ;)
Vi is so good. She went through so much, much much more than Jinx but people prefer staying in their confort zone and stay in their favouritism about Jinx. So, Vi is the best and I hope they will show it better in season 2.
No matter who you are, you are a rare gem. I watched the channel with the clips of Tai Lung and Vi, and both of them evoke strong emotions in me. The part where Vi screams makes me cry. You can vividly describe the pain of a character that no one notices; it's amazing. I hope you create more clips like this
Vi is probably the first and only ever character I've ever related to so much, the relationship with her sister and her father figure and everyone else overall (obviously don't relate to all the terrible shit she went through, but you get what I mean). This captured almost everything that I loved about her, this video is amazing.
This is SUCH a good edit and perfectly sums up what happens in this it's even more of an emotional roller coaster than the show! I would love to see more edits on other shows and movies, although I don't think it could be better than this one because arcane is a masterpeice as well as this edit
Oh my goodness this was so well done. Such a good Vi video. I adore this series and love her character so much. You did amazing on getting me in my feels. Keep it up for sure!!
Awesome video....I wish you could put in the edit when she's hovering over the dead kid in the Shimmer factory as an echo to Vander's words at the memorial on the bridge "Nobody wins in war, Vi", but it's perfect as it is. I absolutely love Vi, with all of her flaws and this video finally showed a bit of the stuff she went through up until episode 9 and I fear this was just the beginning. I think she will see a lot more of crap in Season 2 and my heart breaks at the mere thought of it. Nice job!
Thank you for the video! I am surprised and sad that there are very few videos of Vi on RU-vid and so many of Jinx. Everyone talks about the injuries of the younger sister, but was it easier for Vi? She saw the death of her parents at a young age, but enough to understand what death is, then a hard life in the lower city and responsibility for the younger ones, which is also a kind of pressure on the psyche of the child, then the death of a stepfather and the loss of brothers and sisters in one day, a third if not half a vin of life in prison with regular beatings. I love Vi very much, she is very strong, I'm talking about mental strength, responsible, and she loves her sister, no matter what, I hope the next season will bring her happy moments.
Hey, I loved how that video turned out for you, I think you've done great I would like to ask you what programs do you use to make this type of videos and where did you download the series in full HD to make that video ????????????
