SOOOOOOO pretty! For the yupo strips, you can just colour them both up the way you want and for the wider one, you could die cut a sentiment or smaller images. For the narrow one, you could stick it on the inside of the card to bring the colours from the front to the inside. The wider one could also be a small bookmark or unique gft tag, too. You could either do it to coordinate with the card or, when you have a bunch of them, just go to town making a bunch of tags some day. 😊
What a gorgeous card! I can't wait to try this technique! Totally inspiring! I've never seen your videos before but it was a great tutorial and I made sure to subscribe!
You made the whole process look...I was going to say easy, but perhaps "attainable" is a better word. Sometimes I watch videos and think how beautiful the makes are but that it would be outside of my skill set. I reckon I could have a go at this one. The vellum definitely made the card pop. So soft and delicate. I have alcohol inks but haven't used them yet. I liked the way you kept dipping in and out with different colours to build the layers. Ciara, thanks for sharing, Linda.
Thank you so much Linda!! I hope you gave this a try, I try to break things down in a way that anyone could do them.. so thank you very much for your kind words 🥰
Ciara, this is the first time I came across one of your videos and this card is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing it. I love the combination of techniques you used and how you incorporated the vellum. Plus, your nails look amazing! Guess whose videos I’ll be binge-watching later today! ❤️😊🐾🌵
My very favorite media to work in are the alcohol inks cause well I guess I love the dramatic colors they produce. I just made up several die cut butterflies out of some acetate I had been playing with months ago. Absolutely stunning. Hubby is always amazed at how gorgeous alcohol inks are. I was questioning the vellum you cut out with sparkles and glued on your project yupo paper. But you know what? It worked! Your card is spectacular and worth all the fussy cutting. ( I end up doing that frequently!). Thank you for sharing these delightful endeavors!!!
Beautiful, beautiful card! It makes me want to play with my alcohol inks too. Just fyi, liquid glue takes forever to dry on the Yupo because it’s plastic and has nowhere to absorb into. The vellum is also very slick and non absorbent. I usually use a dry adhesive with both. I’m assuming it will dry eventually, it will just take a while.
Love this card! I too really love rainbows. I did not catch the green and blue colors you used. If you have time will you list all the colors you used again? Thank you!!!
Thank you so much Peggy!! I also have everything ive used on a card in the description panel with a link if you want to see the product but I used Elixir and Tranquil Pearl alcohol inks
I love the background, the colours are beautiful and I love the rainbow effect 🌈 I need to try stamping on alcohol inked backgrounds like this, so neat might need to get some staz on ink ❤
