Not a fair comparison in this video but I would take the tractor setup. Every farmer has a tractor, not everyone has an excavator. You can easily sight the post with the tractor, the excavator operator has to exit/enter his machine to setup, adjust and measure the post. A tractor can straddle a guidewire, drag a spacing chain and tow a cart of posts. A tractor can also unroll and tighten a roll of fence.
Horrifying to watch the operator with no safety glasses on using a ram inches from his eyes. Unreal. Yet safety vest and hearing protection..... Nice equipment and thanks for the video but safety first please.
Bigger digger would be a HIGH cost on the average farm a tractor would there aready Hiring a Midi digger would be normal But having a 10 -15 ton digger is SPECIALIST , even for a fencing contactor , having a 10 -15 ton digger PLUS the lowloader to move it would be a huge cost the post knocker , could go on a 40Kph tractor , or on a mini tractor and be trailered around easy bigger digger isn't a practical option , so wouldn't be a fair test
