Vic looks back on the past year of setting up the Waterbox FRAG 105.4 tank as a display tank in his office. With each video in this series, he took us step by step from nitro cycle, adding rocks, adding fish, adding corals, and all the equipment used. Now it is time to look at what has worked and what hasn't. What maintenance is he doing on the tank?

My copperband butterfly went rouge on me too and started nipping at my acans. I placed him in my sump for about 3 weeks, placed him back in my display and he seems to have learned his lesson. Hasn’t touched my acans since.

Victor your tank looks awesome man! I love how being a professional reefer you admit the problems you encountered as the tank started out. Not many will come out and say I had issues with this and that. Your the person I admire the most when it comes to reefing on RU-vid! Also love how you say "nitrous" lol always puts a smile on my face! I hope my tank will smarten up with nutrients. Always adding Neophos, once in the morning and more at bed time just to keep from bottoming out.

Hi Victor, I live in Brazil, I've visited the store twice, wonderful, I have a photo with gasper in the old store, do you use kalwasser or another way to replace Ca and KH? Do you dose trace elements? Amino acids? Hugs, I'll be visiting soon.

I come from a background of freshwater shrimp keeping. It’s often the case there that a low pH is needed for shrimp Health. The common Red Shrimp require neutral pH at 7.0ish. What keeps the pH in the 8.9 range in these saltwater systems? What buffers the water that high?

What’s going on guys! I have a question since I see you guys mostly run led’s if not all led. I have my radion at 6 inches off the water at 50% on a 21” high tank. I am trying to raise to 8 inches. But can I just raise them to 8 inches and adjust led intensity? Or does it need to be done slowly. Thanks again for these awesome vids!

We would recommend a slow adjustment, To much to fast can lead to a problem.

You must have set your tank up the same time I did. I set up a 300 gallon last year on Aug. 11. Transferred over my 75 gallon live rock, fish and coral. Added dry rock after about a month. I always struggle with sps. I have good flow. The only thing I've never done is an ICP test.

We are tank build buddies! SPS can be very finicky, it's hard to pinpoint issues without a deeper discussion about your tank. Do you have a LCS you trust? Get your water tested there as a start.
