This is my favorite place in Paris 😊, i had stayed twice in a hostel walking distance from the church, my last visit was February 2013! It's nice to just story around to discover the streets scenes. I was teaching art history , French Impressionism 😊 so i know most of the history. Around 5 years ago, i stumbled into a small art museum in san Diego because it was free that December Night, opening one of the drawers full of black and white pencils sketches, it signed Henry Tullese, i knew who he was, his affairs with the dancers, and he died of Syfellus

I hadn't realised Montmartre had such a rich history, you could do quite a series on the area. I first heard of it via Papillon, a shame there was no mention of him, nor of the infamous underworld which resided in Montmartre, but then I guess that's to be hidden away under the veil of French respectability and ego.
