Price is too high for a brand just coming into the club market. An iron set 4-PW is around $1150. You're not buying this set at that price. You're looking at proven brands like TMs, Callaways, Srixon, etc. These should be priced in the Takomo range ($600) until they become popular, if they do. And if we're just focusing on the wedges, the Cleveland Zipcore line have the full face grooves and they are amazing wedges at a lower cost.

No idea what's affordable about these clubs. I was expecting more in the Sub 70 range of 6-700 not 1100 for an iron set. Wedges only being 20 bucks cheaper than an SM10 or MG4 isn't affordable either. I get using a clickbaity title but c'mon man.

Yep, my Sub70s (699ProV2 irons and JB wedges) are both affordable and reliable. I'm a huge fan.

When it comes to wedges, the sole grinds should be at the very top of the conversation. You mention grind briefly, and noted there is decent heel & toe relief, which is great, but what's the bounce like? Better for firm, tight lies or more for soft turf with enough bounce to avoid digging? Need more info, but thank you for the review.

Thanks for the review!! I’m not seeing as many customization options as what even you have (grips specifically) I really like the look of the blade and I typically prefer mallets…I’m planning on doing a full PXG fitting in 2025 so I’m very hesitant to shell out the money for one of these especially since theyre about the same price as the pxg after military discount…also I really wish they had the black blade with red accents as an option on the website, hopefully that comes soon

Ive been playing Vice balls for a while now! Really like their feel and value but they can get beat up if you spend time in the bunker. Really curious to see, hit, and feel all of the Vice products coming out!

Vice's line is more in-line pricewise with Wilson than one of the more affordable DTC brands like Takomo or Stix. Even though Vice does give you a good amount of options for customization, it's still $1100 for full iron set, $450 for the wedge set, and $270-$320 for a putter. If you want affordability, Takomo's wedges are $60 less, even if they aren't customizable or have full face grooves; their irons are $400 less with mostly the same customization options, and even though they don't have putters, you can find something a lot cheaper elsewhere.

On par with wilson? You can buy from any major company and get a set for the price of the vice. I paid $900 for a set of 3-pw forged cobras. The wedges are the same price as cleveland, which i still think is one of the best wedges in golf and offers a lot more customization than the vice wedges. Vice is no longer budget and they aren't even in the mid tier. They are flirting with the top tier prices.

The modern design flashes on the clubs look awesome and as a vice fan myself Im glad they are getting into clubs. However, I dont know if the pricepoint is going to work for them. There are high quality cheaper clubs which already made a name for themselves (Takomo, Haywood, etc.) and these are the same price as PXG, cleveland, wilson, and cobra which are all brands that golfers looking to “upgrade” will gravitate to first. They are slightly cheaper than Titleist, Ping, Taylormade, Calloway, Mizuno, Srixon, etc. but not by much. Their golf balls are so successful not because people think they are better than Pro V1s, its because they dont think Vice Pros are that much worse and you can get them for 3/5 the price. These clubs being tied in price (putters) or only slightly cheaper (irons and wedges) than established companies is not the same strategy that made their golf balls successful. As someone that exclusively uses Vice Pro and Pro Plus golf balls, I wont be considering any of these clubs at their current prices. I will continue to recommend Takomo to friends looking for brand new “bang for the buck” irons not because they are better than vice, but because they followed the vice golf ball strategy.

Buddy, I would not call this affordable, I have the Nitro 13 piece set from Walmart for $250 and the work fine for a beginner like me, and I am planning on upgrading but I am not spending taylormade and Callaway prices for gen one clubs that are from a company that before this only made golf balls and is just starting in the club world.

I can get new SM9 Vokey's for a little bit less around my area, and SM10's for around 20$ more. I don't know what Vice means by affordable, if they are on par with Titleist Wedges price wise.

I was blown away to find out this company doesn’t make any left handed clubs. They just dont/wont make them, I emailed customer service and they said this themselves. Whatever they do seem a bit over priced anyway.

With all the customization, how would you fit yourself with the wedges? I am new to golf, and I need wedges, as I don't have all of them, just 2 out of the 3. What would be the best way to run through all the customization/fitting and ordering them correctly for oneself?

In your case I would go with their stock shaft, standard loft/lie and only customize the colours you want.

Price looked like it has already gone up to $164.99 but their site must be wrong because it went down once I went in to select and customize. At $149.99, would you choose the Vice wedge or the Titleist SM9? Same price but what would you choose?

Before even watching this video, the new vice clubs are way overpriced for a company that is trying to inch there way into the market. Vice used to make inexpensive balls that rivaled the best on the market. Now with these clubs, it looks like they are trying to offer clubs at the high end prices without as much tech. $320 to 370 for a mallet putter. Specs on it "100% CNC milled aluminum with steel weights". Shaft and grip options are their own branded. I just bought my Cobra Agera Arm Lock for $200 with 3d printed frame to lower the upper weight, along with tungsten weighting low in the heal and toe to prevent miss hits. The blade irons $1259.93 for 4-PW. The cavity backs $900 for 5-pw (they don't offer a 4). Do those sound like entry level prices? I spent $900 on my cobra mb/cb forged irons 3-pw brand new a couple years ago. Again, with the irons, no mention of tungsten weighting or anything. You're paying for the name, which is sad, because it's supposed to be synonymous with value. Next they're going to come out with a $500 driver with no carbon fiber, no weight adjustments, no hossle adjustments. Vice has been slowly losing me as a customer. The balls used to be a value even if you only bought one box. If you bought 5 boxes it was nearly half the price of all top tier balls. Now the vice balls are creeping into that price range where I'm going to find something else. Rather than establishing itself as a top tier manufacture at a discount, they want to try to compete with the big boys and I don't see it ending well.

They priced these too close what the big manufactures are so personally I think they missed the mark. I have really enjoyed their golf balls but these clubs arent "affordable" when you have the likes of maltby and takomo.

So I personally think price wise they missed out when they are known as a ball brand trying to jump into the club game. But I do appreciate you reviewing them just the label of affordable is completely false when its in the same ball park as the big boys who have been doing it far longer.

I think the word “affordable” gets thrown around way to much, there’s nothing affordable about 1100 for an iron set and 350 for a putter and the “average” golfer most likely isn’t willing to pay that. On top of that I could go get a set of Taylor made or titleist irons for just a few hundred more so why not go and do that?

How much exactly are these Vice guys paying you to make it look like these clubs are affordable? The 01 model is coming in at within $75 of a set of Titleist MB/CB. And Vice sells them with shafts “By True Temper”, not actual True Temper like Titleist. These guys are making TONS of money off these clubs. They are open models rebranded for cheap and sold to idiots in the US for full retail as a “bargain”.

@Peter-ff1tp Affordable are Vices words. Do they come in less than competing brands? Yes. Affordable is relative. You can buy a set of Rams in a box for less but can’t compare the quality.
