Vick Almighty Shows How To  

In today’s restoration, Vick Almighty takes on a pair of COOKED Air Jordan Cool Grey 8’s. The first step in the restoration is to give the sneaker a deep clean with Reshoevn8r’s 3-Brush Sneaker Laundry System. To start off, the cleaning Vick uses the Soft Bristle Brush and Reshoevn8r Ultimate Cleaning Solution on the entire shoe to start getting grime and dirt out of the surface of the shoe. After scrubbing, Vick lets the suds soak on the shoe before moving on to the Medium Bristle Brush. As Vick begins scrubbing with the second brush, he reminds us to be gentle with the Medium Bristle Brush when using it on suede. Vick then moves on to the third brush, the Stiff Bristle Brush, to clean sneaker’s outsole. The shoe is now ready for the wash, Vick puts the shoe in a Sneaker Laundry Bag and pours Reshoevn8r Sneaker Laundry detergent on top of the shoe. He then puts the machine on a regular cycle with cold water.
Now that the shoe is clean, Vick’s next step is to try and reverse the yellowing from the outsoles with salon care 40 and letting it sit in the sun. After the outsole is in good shape, Vick shifts his focus on the toe box, which needs to be reglued. To reglue, Vick needs to prep the toe box, which he does with tape and a grinding tool. When the prep work is done, Vick can complete the reglue.
Now it’s time to prepare for painting. Vick uses acetone and cotton balls to remove paint from various areas of the shoe. Once the shoe is ready, Vick paints the shoe with three different shades of grey, he mixed himself and topped it off with a matte finish. After the painting is complete, the suede still needs a little bit of help. To bring it back to life, he sprays the suede with Almighty Mink Oil and brushes it in with a Brass Bristle Brush.
