He may be many things but to me he will always be: Aragorn, son of Arathorn, chieftain of the Dúnedain of Arnor, Captain of the Host of the West, bearer of the Star of the North, wielder of the Sword Reforged, victorious in battle, whose hands bring healing, the Elfstone, Elessar of the line of Valandil, Isildur's son, Elendil's son of Numenor.
The fact that Viggo embodies the same characteristics as Aragorn in real life (masculine, depth, sensitivity, confidence, yet still staying humble) makes me love him even more
I am so relieved to view two introverted, humble people share deep parts of themselves. What I see mostly in social media are the big personalities the extroverted people, the blow hards, the huge big energy personalities that have to take up all the room instead of sharing space.
That might be my favorite daytime talk show appearance ever!! How thoughtful he was, Kelly's fantastic questions and her patience to let him tell his beautiful stories. Wow, just fantastic!
I gotta say, Kelly is becoming a very good interviewer, and I love how she gives these incredible actors (who don't often do talk shows) the space to tell their stories, and she elicits these incredible moments. Well done.
I really liked THE DEAD DON’T HURT, having watched it in the theater. I hope more people watch it streaming or otherwise. As Mortensen has said, he makes movies to be watched in the theater, and it’s a shame these kinds of small independent films have fewer and fewer chances to play on the big screen.
I love Viggo. I heard a lovely interview that Michael Moore did with him. He has a beautiful heart. I’ve never heard anyone express such genuine love for others. If all humans were like Viggo…❤
OMG!!!!Luv!!!Was at an X show when I was 16 in Boston and hugging the walls so I wouldn't get hit on and Viggo was hugging the walls watching Exene Cervenka and he was super chill and incredibly handsome. Had a cigarette and when he left he was like "Later." I was all "Later." It was a year or two later I started seeing him in films. I was like... it's the guy!
How amazing that he was there in person in 1980. I remember watching it on TV and it was epic. Such team spirit, so climactic game after game to the gold medal match. Won't ever forget it.
Wow she's amazing, loved here song. Beautiful.... And...yes, Viggo has a soothing mellifluous voice:) and it doesn't hurt that he is pretty handsome too:)
Vicki is one the most underrated and overlooked actors. She can EASILY carry a movie the way Emma Stone or Saoirse Ronan can. Meaning, she is absolutely up there with them, yet seems to get passed by. IMO
@@MultiKiiki That's true, however, Marion Cotillard and Diane Krueger have made the crossover... Vicki does seem to be someone who is deeply artistic. Meaning, her connection to the character/role is what intrigues her and what is important, regardless of how much money she'll make from it or demographics of who will see it.
Eastern Promises, A History Of Violence, Hidalgo, and Green Book are my favourites but then again, I have to ask myself if he has ever made a bad movie. I respect him as a human being and as a great actor who takes us to many places we could never go to ourselves.
She looks like Meryl Streep when she was young; could be her daughter...and what a lovely, winsome, tender, brilliant Soul...and I see that Viggo is a safety touchstone for her during this interview. 🙂
I was a translator in the 1984 Summer Games for Japanese brand Mizuno (President Mr. kiriyami) and also as a liaison for Converse. It was spectacular! Shinzo Abe REST IN PEACE. I love you.
Amazing actor and very interesting person, enjoy his personality ,my gosh speaking 7 languages !!! great interview. TY Oh Vicky is like surreal sweetness.xoxo
I LOVE what Kelly suggested - "In Her Shoes" - I think that would be amazing. What a concept and "ritual" that Vicky has. And always, ALWAYS awesome to see Viggo.
Now I understand why Viggo compared Vicky Krieps with Meryl Streep: SHE ACTUALLY DOES RESEMBLE HER PHYSICALLY!! She could convincingly play Meryl Streep's daughter in a movie!!😲
I LOVE Viggo!!! Hidalgo, Lord of the Rings, awesome career! So glad you cared about the Mustangs!!! Warms my horse loving heart!!! It's ridiculous that you'd have to ask permission to use a sword that was given to you, making it your property, yet still having to get permission. Humans idea of possesion and greed, etc, are getting out if control. The swords are yours, and it should have been your call, and no one elses.
Hello Cold Mountain looks at women left behind at home during war. Its not the only movie either. No need to exaggerate for Viggos movie to have a place and be relevant :)
