Lol. When I went on line in my 50s, I was being targeted by men in their 70s. I've dated younger since I was 25 because they ask me out in real life. But it's because I look younger. I've always felt uncomfortable around men who look like he's my father next to me because people glare at me - presumably they think I'm a gold digger, which I'm not. I've had friends assume female friends my own age were my mother. Having said that, if i met a man suited to my temperament & I my interests, I don't care what age- except I doubt I'd date anyone over 20 years or so younger- because it just seems too ridiculous.

Mam, you cannot be serious! I promise you, you do not look younger than your age no matter how much you believe it. You are just used to your own reflection in the mirror and you have not noticed yourself aging because you see yourself every single day. People you hang out with every day also do not notice you aging gradually. But folks you went go high-school with or worked with at some point in the past can see that you’ve aged. Strangers also can see that you’re no young spring chicken. It’s obvious. See, this way of deluding yourself that as a granny you’re still a youthful-looking girl, is what gets most of these catfished victims into scams. Also, I’m much younger than you and I consider men in their 70s the only appropriate age for me to date. Men who are my age are out there chasing 17-year olds. When I hit 50, if I still haven’t connected with anyone by then, it is 100% over for me at that point in terms of dating. Not a lot of 80 year old men running around looking for a girlfriend. The majority of them are dead and the alive ones are in senior living facilities wearing a diaper, being fed meds for prostate issues, and dementia.

When I went online dating it was actually HARDER to make connections because you are valued LESS because there are dozens of other desperate women waiting to be picked.
