Here is a quick guide to understand frame data. This what you can do with frames. 1 frames -block 2frames -block 3frames -block and parry 4frames- block, parry and sidestep 5 frames-block, parry and side step 6 frames-block, parry, side step and high crush 7 frames- block, parry, side step, low crush and high crush 8 frames block, parry, side step low crush, high crush and heat/rage arts 9 frames same as all below. 10 frames- jab punish, the fastest move in the game for all characters. Now the example. Use the list above to follow along. If I do a move that's +4 on block and my opponent like to jab after everything which is 10 frames we can use basic math. Since I'm +4 I know my opponent is -4, I know my opponents only options are those above and because I see him jabbing when he shouldn't be I can safely assume he or she is just pressing buttons. With that knowledge, I can use move 13 frames and below because since I'm plus 4, any move 13 frames and below now come out 4 frames faster which is lower than his 10 frame jab and we can destroy them for jab spamming. Now, if we do a move that's -3 on block and our opponent does a low every time, we can use the list above to know what we can do. It takes 7frames to low crush so even though we are -3 on block we still still have 7 frames in between until the fastest move in the game can hit us which is a jab at 10 frames. So if he choose any low which is obviously slow than the fastest move in the game, we can safely hop kick or whatever move jumps over the opponent because it takes 7 frames for a jump to register as a crush, I just keep setting my opponent up because he keeps going low.
Easily the best Tekken 8 guide on RU-vid. Going through every move and explaining possible situations made learning him super easy. You can really tell how much effort was put into this. Seriously, good job dude.
I like how Viktor has an answer for everything. The only problem is that remembering when to do what. The parry is especially hard to remember. He has a down back kick that ducks under highs and launches, and his b2 parry that punish strings. I haven’t been able to properly get the timing of right. Also have to learn exactly what moves are good for what. This guide has enlightened me on many things.
Bro I love you thanks I needed this I don’t wan to be scrub victor…. Everyone already say victor is a noob character this guide is very detailed and well thought out thanks again
@@xBonafidexProdigy if you think he a noob character you either a Mishima glazer or some. No body in this game is a noob character. More execution doesn’t make you an elitist
Tekken can be intimidating at first but it's very rewarding. Take your time and learn things in small batches. I'm getting back into it after 10 years or more and I feel like a baby learning to walk lol.
Here are some tips for new players 1. Stop focusing on full move list. Go to practice mode and find your fastest mid, fastest move that is plus on block, fastest move that has counter hit to start a combo, fastest tracking move and fastest low. 2.Learn to punish. Instead of stressing over being perfect, start by punishing with just jabs if it's a challenge. 3. Movement in tekken is great, but timing is the real key. Doesn't matter how fast they move if you use basic moves and just watch, you typically can see patterns even if they seem untouchable. 4. DONT BUTTON MASH. You learn faster😊 5.Learn frame data, it literally tells you what you can do after most moves on hit and block which can lead to strong flow charts (moves that work together in sequence )
@@yellowscarlightningscream8347on the move list, there's a section where it'll display the good moves of a character. Sometimes there might be a counter hit launcher there, but not EVERY counter hit launcher of that character. So yes, you kinda have to lab them BUT the easiest way to do is just look up combo guides. They will most likely show most counter hit launchers for the characters. I recommend checking out RyzingSol for this.
I was pretty well versed in Victor already, so on that note, I didn't get much here but gotta say that the UNINTENDED things I got were just as good! Watchin you work the training menu 😳😳😳 mannnn I haven't been gettin nearly as much mileage out of my training. Mad props for upgrading me on the use of the training menu and dummy! Proper use of training mode and all of its features can be several videos all on their own!
The amount of editing and explaining you did throughout the video was simply amazing. Thank you so much for all your effort, i wish there was an option to sub and like the video an infinite amount of times! Please toss him a sub boys he deserves it!
For moves that tornado on hit like db3, instead of the combo you showed, you can f3(per)1>ws4>db11~f>per>22>122. It deals more damage and is quite easy to do too. :D
@@Leidern On a clean ch db3, db11 shouldnt miss, cause you can only hit ch on axis. UF4 tho, since you launch them in the air no matter the angle, if you are off axis the db11 will miss 99% of the time. In that case, the combo shown in the video UF4>ws2>db11~f>per22>122 will connect.
I also main Victor. If you use his tactical outfit and replace the hat with the long headband and give him an eye patch and make his hair brown BAM you have solid snake! I added some purple lightning aura too :D
I have reached Warrior rank with Victor but I have hit a wall here. I just can't seem to beat players who use plus frame strings, most notably against Hworang, Law, Alisa, Dragunov, Lily, and Nina etc. These characters constantly pressure and they always seem to put me on minus frames. Also, Victor gets launched pretty easily as most of his punishment moves are highs, so Asuka and Lily players just launch Victor too easily. Would appreciate if someone can guide me with what to use in these situations.
same but +1 rank. im trying to cool them down by constantly checking for CH with fast 1+2 also catching with d2 and b1+2. starting to help a little bit.
I got another Q Ive seen ppl doing 1 teleport 1 teleport 1 teleport loop during the lai stance, whats the input for that? I know his teleport back is pressing upbackward & back but I cant do this during the loop
Very new to Tekken in general but I've managed to do CH into DF2(launch), 2,2,2,1(iai),1(iai), dash, 3, 4, 2. Main pokes has been DB3 and DF2. Havent really used anything that has to do with perfumer. Main problems has been Kings grabbing me to oblivion but other than that i think ive been doing okay, maybe that's cause I'm in low rank. Any thoughts on what to improve on?
Outside of what's already in this video, check out the beginners guide I made to understand kings throws better and some general defense ideas. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5KzFzZTQKN8.html To get better at defense requires you to fight characters often and learn to recognize their signature moves. Use the replay takeover to see where you could have used better punishment, ducked their high strings, or used throw breaks better. (this is really general advice)
Try using uf2, b1, and d1 for ranged moves b31 can also be used but only for whiff punishment. Up close try df1, df4, 1+2, and ss 1+2. Use those 8 moves and learn to punish.
Did his frame data change recently? There are some things that are safe in your video but unsafe on block now and some that are plus in your video and negative now.
Is it normal for a character’s safe stance options after an on hit transition to all lose to jab/-10 frame punish? He’s only +4 on hit into Iai and most the moves are slow. Every good move out of Iai stance can be interrupted by jab/-10 unless you are very far away. You have no *safe* option to beat it. You have to do a unsafe/punishable on block mixup to beat level 1 counter play. It’s not like there even is a safe fast high. That seems kinda whack no? Or is stance pressure normally like this in this game? I’m trying to wrap my head around how tekken is designed. This seems kinda bad for on hit advantage. Reina gets stance +12 on hit from a very cheap move (ff2). And she’s even +2 on block with faster moves in general out of sentai stance where victor is straight up minus. I’m not complaining I just don’t get the balance/how to play victor then EDIT: I guess there’s a mixup between Iai 1, 1+2 and 1, 2 but if you get the high read you’re launched and if they read the mid you’re also launched
Can you explain what situation allows the DOWN 2 in heat mode to get the combo effect? I dont understand why i dont always get it. thanks you for the video!
If you want to combo from Down 2 in heat mode you have to commit to using it and holding forward for heat dash. If they block instead yu will be + frames.
Jab, DB3, B1, DF1, DB4 F4,1 B3,1 (hitconfirm and don't finish when they block) are some examples of neutral buttons that help start pressure, you can create your own style with other buttons while mixing in some of these.
What is 1-2-1-3-4?? what is ws-fw and other shit... does say square,x,triangle diagonial right and so on... Speak with "PS" language so people understand!!
Quick lesson for you: 1 = ⏹️, 2 = 🔼, 3 = ❌, 4 = 🔴. n or * = neutral. fc = fully crouched, ws = while standing, wr = while rising. Get used to this because this is what the community uses.
