@@BiPolarUrsus I have always been more of a Dean fan, but since making this series I have started to warm to Hank. He is definitely the funnier Venture Bro and it is impressive to see his attitude to life. The double date would have been terrible if both of the boys had behaved like Dean.

I hold out hope that an updated version will be published - to include the later seasons. I am sure it would be really popular. It really is worth reading.

@@Boo7X77 I agree. My favourite episodes are usually one where we see the characters doing ordinary activities. It adds a real human element to the show.

@@BrycePerry that's a good point. I find the episode where Triana moves away very sad to watch. I feel sorry for Dean and Dr Orpheus and on a meta level, there is something really melancholic knowing about Lisa and Doc's breakup. Prior to making this video, I always accepted the idea that Kim was only popular because of her appearance but during the course of making it and discussing this episode with fans, I became convinced that she was the star of an abandoned story arc. I am now also convinced that Myra was canonically the boys' mum for quite a long time, but she was retconned. The story about her being Dr V's bodyguard completely stacks up. It's also remarkably similar to his relationship with Dermott's mum - who was the president of his fan club.

@@bostin1472now Kim's return is part of my season 8 head canon! Apparently there was a story line where Molotov shows up to wreck Brock and Wariana's wedding. I will always regret not being able to see that.

I know what you mean. Funnily enough I was just reading about the "Shadowman 9: In The Cradle of Destiny" in the book in preparation for making my video about the episode in a few weeks time. There is a whole thing about how Jackson Publick wanted Dr Girlfriend to be pregnant Season 3 and for there to be a story arc about the characters being confused about whether her baby's dad was Phantom Limb or The Monarch. I spent the break between Season 2 and Season 3 convinced that she was pregnant and wondering how the couple would cope with being new parents. I was confused to learn that she wasn't and I felt vindicated when I learned years later that this was exactly what the viewer was supposed to think. I recently watched "I Know Why The Caged Bird Kills" and I agree that it looks like Myra is the boys' long lost mum. The scene with Killinger at the end of the episode makes it look like he was trying to reunite their family whilst reuniting Dr Girlfriend and The Monarch. I am now convinced that Kim was being set up to be an important character but once Dr Girlfriend was reunited with The Monarch, there wasn't any way to continue the arc. In a way, this is realistic writing, I mean people often have every intention to pursue a relationship or career path, but are prevented from doing so by events outside of their control, but in such a tightly written show where everything means something, and all events have consequences, this type of thing can be frustrating. That said, though. I hate plotholes and sloppy characterisation, and most of the time, The Venture Bros manages to avoid doing this, which is why it is such an amazing TV show. It's because it is so great, that any problems stick out like a sore thumb.

@@FFlynnsArcade I agree 100%, Kim isn't so much a mislead as a no lead, but combined with the other issues I guess the proof of excellence is the glaring nature of your failures. It's almost like Jackson's flawed but amazing child of a show parallels Jonas and Rusty in a way.

@@kitkat6959 the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that she was being set up for this at this point. I think the idea was abandoned when Dr Girlfriend and the Monarch got back together and especially when Triana moved away. I think itwas a similar situation to Dr Girlfriend 's pregnancy story line which was abandoned in season 3.
