--------
Victor Ortiz opened up about his career and experiences, shedding light on memorable moments, including his sparring sessions with Manny Pacquiao. Ortiz shared an early setback in his career, suffering his first loss by disqualification after exchanging hooks. Despite this, Ortiz noted how the loss alleviated some pressure and allowed him to focus on his career progression. A standout highlight of Ortiz's career was his sparring experience with Manny Pacquiao. Renowned trainer Freddie Roach saw these sparring matches as the best he had ever witnessed. Ortiz playfully avoided detailing the encounters but hinted at their intensity and mutual respect.

@soul2soul4 plenty of fighters do so they have to compensate with power, skill, etc. Mike Tyson himself didn't have much heart but he could compensate with his speed and aura. @@soul2soul4.....you got it wrong. Dude's got some sort of 'mental affliction'. No one can say for sures, but maybe in part cuz of abandonment issues he's got with his old man. Here's what I mean, in the ring against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Victor was fearless. Man-handling Floyd, even bum-rushing him with a head-butts. Then on a dime, he does a 180' and starts profusely apologizing, cheek-kissing Floyd like 2 or 3 times until Floyd knocks him out with a killer cheap-shot in retaliation. Say you want, but dude's been some raw, rugged ring-wars.....Marcos Maidana, Andre Berto (Maidana & Berto in their prime were savage-beasts) etc. Love & Respect________mykey from toronto 💚🤍❤

I remember the first time I saw Victor Ortiz, he headlined the main event vs. Marcos Maidana. That was probably the best fight at 140 of that year 2009. He ended quitting after being dropped like 3 times in the bout. He did drop Maidana. Then he fight Berto and KO Berto to lead him to fight Mayweather on 2011. I think Victor could have had a better career but he lacked heart. Towards the end of his career he ended up getting KOed badly and even broke his jaw against Jose Lopez. He was a beast at 147. He had a mediocre career to say the least.
