Just use a lipliner brush to contour the nose (with a more reasonable priced product)? VB is really pushing it with the €€€ and losing this customer in the process. Love your channel! 😍
If VB wanted to keep the form factor and the price point, I think the best solution would have been to make it refillable and to include a refill with the full size (similar to cushion foundations). More eco-friendly as well!
The price would be almost laughable except it's not funny!! This just stinks of greed and I'm not here for it. It's a massive NO for me Oh, and I don't think the packaging looks anything special either 🤪 Love ya, 🩵💜🩵💜🩵
I’ve loved every single VB product I’ve gotten. I really like the idea of a slimmer contour stick, too, so you can be more precise. I was definitely getting this contour, just waiting to see swatches to decide which shade. But…the quantity you get for the price is absolutely outrageous. I just cannot. I’m so glad you pointed out the stingy bit you get for the price. It blended very well, but was it really 6 times better than Westman Atelier? I don’t think so. If you end up loving it, I can’t wait to see how long it lasts for you. I feel like it wouldn’t last long!
She definitely duped the Burberry stick. She actually used it in one of those vogue beauty bag videos years ago. I loved the tone of that product and wonder how the shades compare
For what I can see, this product is the same as the now discontinued Burberry face contour stick. It looks the same, made also in Italy, very similar color, and price. However, the Burberry one was almost the double amount of product (1.8 g).
I love luxury makeup but we have these Nyx Wonder Sticks here in the US that work the same way & are about $10 each. These are double-sided with a highlighter on the other side. The blush sticks are also double-sided & are amazing. ❤
This looks like a nice little travel stick; you take it with you for a two week holiday and it will be finished by the end of your vacation. Convenient for that, but no thank you for that price. Thanks for the review!
i saw her introducing them i really think they are a good idea but given the amount of product i really thought she would have put more product in them i wouldn't mind there being mre product and a higher price point xx
Thank you so much for doing the comparisons to the other shades of contours! That was so incredibly helpful!! I’m glad I came across your video when looking for info about the new VB contour! You’ve got a new follower here😊😊
Maybe use this product for nose and lip area and use truffle for the forehead and cheeks? Overkill if you don’t contour a lot, but I could see that being a good plan if you contour regularly
Massively on the stingy side for the price. I feel it should be double even triple the amount for that money, plus I doubt it'd last longer than a few weeks. Probably paying more for the packaging than the product itself 😵.
Wow like wow the price for amount on the VB is absolutely absurd!!! I love luxury brand beauty, like love, and will save to get it bc I know that there r products from them that r so worth it. This contour stylus is a joke tho and I think a slap in the face to the loyal customers she's built. Like 12ml = 12g for the CT, which is also expensive, but I've bought bc I wait for the best deal to get it as cheap as possible, lol. So the VB 1.1g = 1.1ml, that's basically nothing at all and will be gone in just a couple of uses. Actually, samples r way more product than that. I'm looking at 2 samples in front of me that r each 5ml. Sometimes, u get 7ml samples or a little more. So VB isn't even giving ppl a sample at all and making them pay thru the nose for something like one of those swipe sample cards, which I think has more on those things even still. When I heard this, it just blew my mind and kinda makes me mad. I hope ppl stand up and boycott this product. I've wanted to try VB but just haven't yet and now I'm really curious, r all her products like this if so I would never waste my money on that. I mean, that's what it would be a waste of money like throwing it in the trash can but making her rich. 😳😤🤬 Thanks for sharing this, Charlotte!!! ❤
Pretty but not in this economy. I love high end and luxury makeup but now I am only buying for absolute needs. And splurging on inexpensive K beauty skincare. 😊
That pricing is literally so ridiculous for the amount you get. They are literally eyeshadow sticks in my eyes. I love VB products and have almost everything In her line but this is a pass. Solely because of the price per gram.
Here’s the thing…I will spend money. I will spend an outrageous amount of money if the product is really special (and I know special is subjective), but this almost feels insulting, even with a perfect formula.
Burberry used to have a similar product. Glad to see this incarnation. Very helpful review. I don't mind small size. Will wait for sale so a I can swallow that price.
The price to amount of product is truly shocking! I was looking forward to the launch, but I can not justify this price point when i wear makeup daily, and this would be gone so quickly!
I use the WA in biscuit and CT in fair and love them both however the precision of VB contour I would use for nose contouring only. Great review as always 💜🇨🇦
Hey Charollet..I was actually waiting for this review 😘so many new launches so really want to purchase products which I really need nd use them..tks for ur lovely reviews ❤️
If she sold these for $38.00 for a pack of all 4 colors, I'd buy these. I have an old 3-pencil contour kit by Smashbox. I still love it for a quick eye look and for the variety of things I can do with it. But at the rate that VB stick was being used up, you'd be lucky to get 10 uses out of it. No contour is worth $3.80 per use. Thanks for your honest, as always, review!💚
Respectful I disagree. I don’t have any contour or cream bronzer stick this small. I received mine yesterday and love it and would pay the $38 monthly if necessary, just for how easy it made contouring my nose. I like the color, blend ability and lux package. The “clean” ingredients are a plus too. I’m also quite tired of having to throw products away because they are expired yet I hardly made a dent because they were so large. Just my take on it 🙂
You see, they know that -- that their customer has everything VB, wants everything VB. Now they come in for the kill with this rip-off price, especially because contouring is so the rage now. I'm a professional makeup artist over 40 years, I'd never bother with this unless it was given to me, or if it cost $10.
Great review! I think this would be great just to use to nose contour which is something I absolutely never do. But somehow I still want this!!!! I use the WA to contour now. I just tried VB eyeliners and fell in love and am interested in the brand now. Keep us updated on how long it lasts. ❤
Thanks for this review, I was waiting to see if I wanted to order this. Expensive for the amount, but looks so beautiful on you makes me want to order it. I need a " you don't need this" smack in the head 😂 Thanks again for a great review . Love from Canada
@CharlotteHoldcroft Hahahaha I wish I could send you a picture. I tried it down the sides of my nose..it dries so fast!! I've just got two lines on my nose!
Amazing review Charlotte! I'd love to see a full face of VB video from you in the future 🙏 Also could you please do a tutorial on how you did your eyeshadow, specifically to get that shape on the eyes pls
As much as I love luxury makeup and VB Beauty, *no way in hell* am I paying $38 for 1.1 G of product. *That's absolute robbery.* Westman Atelier's Face Trace with 6 G of product for $48 is pricey, but fair. To make the price disparity really clear, and equal amount of the VB Contour Stick would cost $207. Really? Nope.🚫
I only have a few blushes (2 that I love (Armani and Tom Ford) so I’m very much curious about the Chanel and Tom Ford formulas. Thank you for discussing them!
Idiotproof. Lol! 😂😂😂 What a proper word to describe this crayon. I have it. I love it. And my first thought was that as well. It's not possible to ruin the result with it. Loved the review although. Thank you! 🌺
I’ve never been able to contour properly because I have a small face. All those chubby contour sticks are a disaster on my face. I have to try and get them in a tiny brush and then blend. If you know of any other slim Jim’s do let me know because VB is draining my back account!!
I already ordered the 2 lightest shades. I don't know what it is but this brand has control over my brain. I love it so much and your wonderful demos aren't helping me resist.
Thank you for a great review! I was going to purchase this because I like the color and it looks easy to use. Thankfully, I watched your review first and I didn’t buy it. I can’t believe how small it is! I would use that up in a month. I might try the Westman Atelier.
I love the shape!!! I hate the price in light of the amount of product!! 😮😮😮 On a different note, I finally know what “Adam and Eve it” means so I will part by saying I can’t Adam and Eve it regarding the price! 😂❤
You realize the size of the stick is just a trick to get you to buy this. Use any larger contour stick or a pan with a brush or simply your finger. *It's a marketing ploy.*
My ears perked when you said “Idiot Proof.” I love the slimness of the wand for nose contouring but the price-point just doesn’t justify that. I’ll just remain an idiot.😂
Sounds like a great precise stick for the nose in conjuction with a different one. Advice needed: As someone who gives great advice, what is you opinion on where someone should bother supporting a RU-vidr after years of watching and commenting and the influencer just stops commenting or liking back after replying back many times, with no explanation? Is this disrespectful like ghosting someone, but somehow still expecting the support one needs to get recognized (therefore paid) from RU-vid? Should that person stop watching given the negative feeling that ghosting gives that person? I know many will say they can't get to everyone, but given they used to respond most of the time, what would you say to your kids if they were experiencing negative thoughts as often many kids don't understand and blame themselves?
Oh that looks lovely but A to expensive B i wouldnt know how to contour if Victoria Beckam hand delivered it with a diagram so i wont be buying it. However my charlotte Tilbury glowgasam pallete arrived today and oh my it is stunning. X
I’m wondering if the price is to do with paying for convenience? I think you’d have to buy one every month during summer months(more if you don’t live in the uk) which works out very expensive. It would have to be the most perfect, long lasting product in the world. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to try it though!
It's a no for me as I rarely use the contour products I already own & I'm more of a "Brontour" girl. I will however pull out my Burberry contour stick that is lovely but discontinued, & also works well as an eyeshadow. Need to finish the products I already have!
I know you were nervous but wanted to let you know your nose turned out amazing. Plus your cheekbones looked great with this! To bad about the poor value.
I have a soft spot for VB products, almost everything i got i absolutely loved. (I almost never juse contour or bronzer, but somehow I am still interested in it.)
I was guessing it was 1.2 grams. It is 1.1 I was close! I thought it looked like size of a lipstick. Correct. But I am going to get it when I order something else. I don’t want to pay shipping for this one thing. But next time I order something I am going to pick it up.
i’m holding out till i see all swatches of the colours, because this has confirmed my initial suspicions that this is a bit too warm for my preferences for a contour. I don’t mind paying a premium price but at least get the tones right
Not worth the money for me on;y because I know myself and I’ll never use it. 😂 I always feel I’ll do it, but I guess I’m lazy because when the time comes I can’t be bothered. 😂
I use the CT in deep and apply very lightly. Personally, my favourite was 'notorious' by chanel, even on my fair /light skin, it really had that gorgeous 'shadow' effect. Big gap in the market now as was, limited edition. Nope, not paying for VB contour stick, great demo but I would need to use far too much product. One consultant in John Lewis commented, when I lifted my fringe, I've never seen such a big forehead! 😱
Ridiculous! Price is outrageous and looks like it completely disappeared. Sure,y this lends itself only to nose contour with the precise applicator and price point? Very odd!
