Funny, but also poignant and deeply serious. A great performer, but also an award-winning writer. Victoria Wood sadly died today at the age of 62. Stephen Smith took a look at her life and career.

For me, Victoria Wood With All The Trimmings, her Christmas Special of 2000 was probably the peak of her work. I remember watching it with my family back on Christmas Day we loved every minute of it. Along with Dinnerladies and Acorn Antiques - pure comedy gems.

One of a kind.With Julie they made comedy magic.We often use the phrase National Treasure loosely but Victoria Wood fully merits this accolade💓💓

Rest in peace love. Being an urbane sophisticated chap myself, never did quite appreciate the Northern mill town humour- still, "mustn't grumble". Now in heaven with the likes Mother Teresa and Beryl Reid.

NO Joanna got it because she is a true angel and cares for everything and everyone . She should not even try to compare herself to Joanna Lumley . I liked Victoria W. but Lumley is a Unicorn, she is at a whole other level .
