Sharing here a walkthrough of the various puzzle purses I've made using three different sizes (6" x 6", 8" x 8", and 12" x 12").
A little history behind these purses...
Puzzle purses are folded origami-style envelope-like box packets, which unfold into a pinwheel or 4-arm star, revealing either a romantic poem, love messages or even trinkets, a lock of a sweetheart’s hair, etc. I find these purses very romantic and interesting, so I decided to revive this almost-forgotten historical Victorian Valentine tradition, which was once popular from 1720 to 1840 during the 19th century, where lovers penned down messages on papers and folded them into these purses and sent them as love notes.
