I've only seen the pictures but I find the color to be very eye catching and I am heavily considering the Evoke Alox in the 2024 edition. You have a way with words that I respect so much. Love your videos!

Happy Saturday Slippy, my local Victorinox dealer has not yet received the 2024 Alox Limited Edition SAKS or the new 91mm Companion series due to the war. When it eventually arrives I will buy the Terra Brown Pioneer X for my collection but not for EDC as like the 2022 Thunder Grey Pioneer X the colour in 2024 is Yucky & uninspiring unlike the magnificently bright 2021 Orange & 2023 Yellow Pioneer X's which I bought 2 of each of them & keep 2 in their boxes & the other 2 are in my EDC rotation. I agree with you about the key ring. I grind off the key ring attachment on almost every SAK that I use, especially alox. On the few that still have a ring (so that I can carry them on a suspension clip), I replaced it by a smaller one. (Once I ordered a ha dful of those for like 10 cents each.) They use the same size ring on the super thin Cadets, too, and it looks ridiculous.

I have a Black Onyx Limited Edition. I can’t remember what year it’s from. 2019 maybe. It’s so beautiful, I can’t bring myself to carry it. I ordered one of these this weekend. The Alox models wear REALLY well in my experience so this one will probably make it into the EDC. I’m an earth tones kinda guy so I think I’ll enjoy this color. It’s pretty unique for a Victorinox. Thank you for the review.

I hadn’t liked the colour as it appears in the Victorinox images. It looks completely different in your video. Totally changed my opinion. I like it. I wasn’t going to get it, but now I will be picking one up. A red Pioneer X has been my EDC for several weeks now… I also have one in Silver and Thunder Grey

I was hoping to pick up the 2022 in Thunder Gray which I had in my cart for about a week. However, upon checking out today it has since been discontinued 😢. So I picked this up instead. The color is remarkable. Great review as always!

Going back to the beginning won't be cheap... If you also want the the Pioneers (before they switches to the X in 2021), the 2015 and 2017 ones are going for crazy money for some years already. But I hope you'll manage to complete the set :)

Personally I don't see anything wrong with the colour. It will make a very nice little addition to your Safe Queen collection ( I've never used any of my limited edition Victorinox knives either lol.

It does look more gold in the light. I won't be getting it because I like the original color, that doesn't scratch off, and I am kinda tired of seeing the words limited edition on items and then I am scared to use it and mess it up or losing it. It is sometimes hard to resist, especially if it's your favorite color, like mine is green, and I almost bought the green limited editions a few years ago. I hope your able to get them all for great deals.

I would search out the 2022 Thunder Gray limited edition Pioneer X. They are still around and at regular retail. I think it's the best color they have done for limited edition alox stuff. Most years are too bright colored. This year 2024 and 2022 are the best colors

Unfortunately it's not available in the terra brown, only the Evoke, pioneer X & classic SD

The Pioneer X features the scissors, which, of course, comes very handy. But the additional $15 bucks makes it quite expensive compared to the Pioneer without scissors :/ Do you think it is worth it?

It all depends what you are after, scissors are a must for me!
