This is the most entertaining season ever. the 80s were great and everything but there was zero coverage compared to today. fans get to feel like they're really part of this.

@@livinglegend450 For example, John Taylor was the Superbowl hero. I can't even remember an interview he did about it. The was no NFL Network talking football, the AM radio coverage was sparse compared to baseball. Pretty much you had to watch the hour-long news for a 30-second blurb at the very end about the 49ers. the pregame show came on one hour before kick-off and that was about all you were going to get an entire week outside of the newspaper.

I can imagine what’s it’s like for you old timers. I became a fan in 2008 when Mike Singletary was still coaching the 49ers. This must feel similar to the way the 81 season felt except now there’s more media coverage.

I come from a 49er fan family. The first football game I ever watched, I was 8 years old. It was the NFC championship game 49ers versus Cowboys. ‘The Catch.’ The birth of a dynasty! After that I grew up into the dynasty and I got spoiled. It was like the 49ers were ordained by the football gods to win every year. I didn’t appreciate how rare and special that is, because it’s all I knew. If we can get this done, get a ring, now I will REALLY appreciate it

I was at the game. And I remember after that 1 TD, all of the Viking Fans tried to get a whole SKOL goin' and they did for about 2 minutes. Then the same fans left before the last quarter was over.

This season was so unexpected. I enjoyed watching football again. No such much during the past years or so. I lived in the Bay area during the glory days. Navy Air Station Alameda and the Naval Hospital on the hill. The good old day I like to call them.

If we win the Super Bowl, this season will be remembered as the season of Miracle plays; from George Kittle’s catch during the last minute of the Saint’s game, to Jimmy Garoppolo’s back to back 3rd and 16’s before the heave to E. Sanders to set up the win against the Rams, and finally Dre Greenlaw’s 1 yard tackle against the Seahawks.

The moment I knew this defense was something special it was the first game against the Rams. It was about the last quarter and the rams had the ball and we just stuffed them on 7 straight plays and I remember their qb literally just shrugging his shoulders in defeat because they could barley even hand the ball off anymore without getting mauled by the d line. It’s like they simply just surrendered at that point with more than 8 min left in the game. They punted it and didn’t even bother putting in effort at that point
