As a ex-german I apologise for Germany not providing Ukraine with all the weapons it needs to protect its citizens. Olaf Schultz is scared from his own shadow.
I am german too. The problem here is that Scholz is incompetent and like a typical SPDler, corrupt. He seems to trust his advisor blindly. And that "Berater" has interesting connections to Gazprom and another russian oligarch. You do the math......
@@BloingDidoing no need for conspiracies here. there are no useful weapons being hold back here. decades of decreasing military budget has nothing left of importance and / or meaningful to hand over. taurus probably just is not available in numbers or maybe even working properly. leopards? not worth sending without having supplies to maintain them for a fight. germany (after us ofc) is giving the most by value - far more than the rest.
Old timers still remember the Soviet occupation. As a joke, I remember ducking under the road barrier and standing under the sign that read German Democratic Republic so a friend could get my picture. I was in US uniform which upset the VOPOS and also the west german border guard that was yelling something about my standing in a mine field

Apologies to my government’s lack of defending Ukrainians. My heart is so heavy with the horrors in Ukraine. I had hopes for the return of American democracy but I am becoming increasingly skeptical and angry. 🙏🇺🇦🕊️
Once upon a time I served my country and helped to stem Russia's aggression in only small ways. Now in my 60s I wish that I was healthy enough to go to Ukraine and offer my service. I am not, so, I do what I can from far away. Many news outlets report that there are a lot young healthy able bodied Ukrainian males ducking their responsibility to Ukraine. That, is very sad, but it also happened here in the USA in the 1960s and 1970s until our Draft(military conscription) was ended. As a result we are now at a weakened position as a military, IMHO, and society where less than 2% have worn the uniform in service to their country. Recent polls here suggest that if the US were attacked by China or Russia only 9% of the eligible male population 18-27 years old would volunteer to defend the USA. I would like to believe that the polls are just Russian propaganda but, I see it for myself also. Half of my neighbors would flee to Canada, 41% would simply shit themselves and give up or die and 9% of us would be serving for everyone else. Not very big numbers overall. So I encourage anyone with the skills to help Ukraine to do so. It isn't just ammo, munitions and missiles that are needed. As you well know it takes ten toes on the ground, trained, equipped and well led to get the work done. It takes personnel in the rear processing supplies, providing internal security, enabling more UA personnel to be available for combat duties. May God give Ukraine's Warriors the strength they need.
I'd go too, if I weren't bloody disabled with Chronic Illnesses, Unbearable Pain and Migraines. I have no family to worry about me, and I used to do volunteer work anyway when I was well, and working. I personally wouldn't be able to fight, but there are 1001 voluntary jobs that people can do. I would feel so proud to go out and help, but my bloomin' health won't let me.
