what if the plane is diagonal to the ellipsoid? what will be the equation for it? since none of x, y, or z is zero is that case.

Thank you. It's weird trying to learn about this for a story I'm trying to write. Now, when you put 0 in the z axis, would you say you have a oblate ellipsoid, and a zero in the other two lead to a prolate ellipsoid?

Too much repetition Just do 3 pieces, X=0, then Y=0, finally Z=0. Show a resulting image of the Ellipsoid plane drawn. How so you Plot it as a 3D image on a Flat X-Y computer screen ?
