No fuel to the Crossfire Fuel Injection system.
Troubleshooting the fuel system.
Do we switch out to a carburetor now or sink a bunch of money in an old injection system?
This is video number 3. 1984 Corvette with the Crossfire fuel injection engine.
I will post a new Corvette update every Friday till it’s drivable! Or we give up! Which ever one happens first!
One of my sons and myself, were looking for a project vehicle that we could work on together this Summer. We came across this 1984 Corvette with the notorious Crossfire fuel injected 350 cubic inch engine.
I have never worked on this particular style fuel injection. I have owned many Chevy small block V8 engines in a large variety of my past vehicles, but this is my first Crossfire injection system. If we cannot get the original fuel system running easily, more than likely we will end up switching it out for a new intake and carburetor set up.
The car has been parked for at least 15 years. There are more mice living in the car than I could imagine. The inside of the car smells worse than any vehicle I have ever purchased. This is going to be one heck of a project.
I purchased the car for an extremely fair price to the point where I don’t mind spending a lot of time and effort trying to get it up and running. I will also let my son have almost full control over the build. This will be his first project car that he is responsible for.
I just hope it does not take too long to get it up and running. We have no history of the car, except that it was driven to the spot years ago and the owner was getting ready to do some bodywork on it. It has not moved since.
I will attempt to video record as many of the repairs as practical, and I hope you will follow along with us trying to get this car roadworthy.
Obviously there will be more than one video of this project vehicle.

nice work great to see u guys working together. sometimes on these tbi cars, the injectors are stuck from sitting. just tap them and try to shock the pintles loose. this is what happened on ours. sometimes the tb gaskets leak a bit of fuel after dissassembling the tbi housing. i use an extremely thin teeenie smear of 1 minute right stuff to seal it if that happens. our car did the same as yours. tap it with a hammer, the inector will likely eventually unstick itself. apply 12v in a tapping motion as well directly to the terminals. ours unstuck.. similar condition. an injector from a tbi year truck will pop right in. not even close to a 300 dollar fix.5$ at a junk yard
