Crew is wonderful!!! Yes, there are always anomalies, but that's true in any business/occupation. You can't avoid the crazies.

I know ppl like that, too, Derek. But situations like that can happen anywhere. "Don't go to the mall or the grocery store cause there may be a shooting." Don't do this, don't do that. It's all fear based & it will keep you from doing anything! Most crew members are nice & kind to the passengers.

we just got back from rcl mariner of the seas today...we had a guard posted a few doors down from us in the hallway...for 3 days for 24/7...after our costa maya stop ...they disappeared for the rest of the cruise....wow..freaky going and coming and seeing one security officer or another posted down the hall...supposedly he was fighting with his wife/gf and was escorted off at costa maya....wow

I have been on cruises where they have announced a safety drill. They made it clear the announcements were for crew only. If it weren't for the various announcements made, we would not have known anything was going on.

You could get injured/attacked on a public bus or an airplane. How about a movie theater or sports venue. Does that mean you never leave your house? Bad things can sometimes happen, but it does not stop me from living life.

I, too, have family that are anti cruises. However, cruise lines are always required to report every incident. Almost everyone on the ship has a camera. The news spreads like wildfires. Same types of things happen everyday on land, much more frequently!

This is not the norm. Crew me.bers are always very helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Have never had a problem.

I think anything good or bad that happens on cruise ships happens many more times on land. There's a newspaper saying, 'If it bleeds it leads ' stands true. You don't hear the stories of crew members going out of their way to help and make your cruise enjoyable! I have friends who would never want to go on a cruise. And those are the people I never want to cruise with. For myself I am happy on land and on sea...just don't make me be the driver! 🤣🛥🍦😎
