An article said he spent some time at the circus practicing some things ahead of time 1) He already knew how to juggle. 2) He learned how to use a trick saddle on the horse during 20 min. in the lunch break. 3) Didn't see much on the big-wheeled bike, but I've heard they are difficult to get used to. 4) The trainer on the tight rope said Harry's footwork was good and they had to work on his posture. I think it was not too high and just shot at an angle. I don't recall the earlier pictures showing a harness. 5) I think the early bird pictures did show a harness ( it was a year ago). I think he was in yellow, because "if I (he) was a Bluebird, I would fly to you, dip you in honey, so I could be sticking to you") Basically wishing there was a way of being closer, he would, but can't. 6) The Director - Tanu Muino is the same Ukranian woman who directed "As It Was" and she said her favorite thing Harry does is Dancing. Everyone says he is willing to try almost anything, and he seems to practice to do those things well.
Even on stage in the concerts he is never too proud to admit he made a mistake. Right there in front tens of thousands of ppl. The man is so pure. I hope he never changes.
If he was a bluebird he’d fly to you (them), but he’s not a bluebird in the video (yellow), so he’s not able to fly, and has to be launched into the sky by the cannon in order to “fly”. It’s saying he’d do whatever he can to be with that person and make them happy, and go to any length, but he can’t always do enough, and maybe if circumstances were different (if he WAS a bluebird, metaphorically) things would be easier. That’s what I take from the story anyway!
There are so many easter eggs in this video! He is showing his journey (always in motion walking/running/cycling/etc, and there is an hourglass), probably in the music industry (the circus). At the beginning, a devil woman throw a knife at him while he sings "i hope you miss me"...maybe he made some dangerous encounter in this "circus". There is a reflexion about identity (the colors, the distorting mirrors) also i think the mirrors represent the medias and the distorted reality they give about him (actually The mirror is the name of an english tabloïd). There is also a reflexion about gender (he's the only male actor in the whole video). About the colors: "bird" means girl/girlfriend in british slang. And then he runs away from the blue birds, passing in front of the mirrors, this reminds me how he says it makes him feel uncomfortable how the media pair him with any woman he's close to. And there is no resolution: he starts in black and white and ends up in black and white (also the ladder is white and the rope is black). Also, at the end, his costume ressemble a skeletton, so maybe it is his journey through life (starts in the sky, finishes in the sky)

You know how people wear colorful glittery crazy costumes to go to Harry styles'gigs? Think about this: from the stage, he must see an army of fun, friendly, joyful and colorful people. Also the clown is the only character he interacts with, he also opens up about his feelings: he mimes "please, i'm sad", so the clown opens the way. He has said in interviews that this song is about "chasing something troubled" so this is also alluding to how trying to please a person who's not that into you can feel like walking a tightrope or performing dangerous circus acts to make them happy. Also, if you follow the lyrics, there's amazing wordplay throughout the video, like "I hope you're missing me by now" as the knife misses him
What I really appreciate about your explaining what you understood of the song is the fact that you did not assume gender or anything. You used the term "significant other" which, honestly, I found surprising, but props to you for that!
i dont know if anyone has suggested watching this, and it isnt a music video, but harry released a four minute video as a love letter to love on tour. it spanned so many shows and months and shows love on tour (his tour) from his pov and from us as fans. i think youd enjoy it! its called love on tour, forever on his channel!
I heard the wire was only like a meter high, but he did learn to walk it. Is there a way they made it look higher up? He did all the “stunts “ for this one. Also he made this over a year ago and held on to it til tour was over.
So glad you’re back to watch Harry together! I think this circus Might represent the circus of the music industry having him do all sorts of tricks to make him a star and more popular. Again Harry is a genius with symbolism and lyrics and just his looks with his outfit. I believe everything is intentional.

They clear the way for Harry to move forward. He's shouting into the tunnel, but the person on the opposite end is plugging their ears. Lens flare resulted in rainbow. Good, you picked up on the lover. Who he calls at all times. Why would that be. It's not because it's just Harry who is traveling the world. Sometimes Harry is in UK, which is where we would expect his lover to also be, right? So, why the angst about 'calling at all times?' Yes, he is finding his place in the world, but I think it's mostly that he wants others to see his place in the world. If you can, watch clips of his live shows. You'll see what I mean.

Welcome back. Hope everything/everyone is better/well for whatever had you away for a while. Not that is has anything to do with anything Harry dies currently, but go watch Steal My Girl mv from One Direction. It was kind of a circus theme… even had one of those big tricycles. This reminds me of a grown up version of that. They had Harry surrounded by ballerina dancers that he walks through in that video. Harry just has fun in his videos. He always has. His past experience for 1D videos were fun and except for Falling Sign Of The Times Harry has fun in his videos he is creative likes to entertains and seems up for trying anything. At sine point in most of his videos he looks at the camera and will stick his tongue out, smile a big smile or a slight knowing comical look. Despite what his actual songs mean, why he wrote it… only he knows but his music makes you feel good, he gives 100%+ at his concerts and he draws us in, he makes eye contact with his audience, he remembers someone in the audience from a past concert, he takes his art serious but he cuts up and laughs, laughs we he flubs lyrics on stage… he laughs at himself and with the audience. A long comment but it’s just to say Harry brings out joy and especially his videos for this album! They are elaborate but fun. This album had the best music and came more alive more detailed with horn live as Love on Tour went on for 2 years! Ok that’s enough… I look forward to getting notifications again for new reactions from you. 😊
So Harry posted a three minute video at the end of the tour.. it's called Love On Tour Forever... lots of chatter about him putting out a whole love on tour documentary which I hope so because I can't see a film crew filming for almost two years for three minutes of footage. Harry has his back turned as he descends the ladder and doesn't see the circus he's getting into - he spends much of the mv trying to escape it. I don't think it's a big stretch to suggest that's the 'media circus', who view him in a distorted way (the mirrors) and no matter how much he shouts (the megaphone), no-one listens (the woman plugging her ears). There are also hints about gender - he's the only male featured. He can't fly to his love because he's not a bluebird (they are all female). There are no steps down from the men's room in the trailer, only from the ladies room. The circus strongman is a woman - normally a male role.

Harry is dressed as a yellow bird. Harry can dress like a bird, but Harry is not biologically a bird. That's why Harry crosses his arms and pouts while he is flying. And as you can see, he is surronded by many women in blue..... In my opinion, he wish that he was a woman(blue bird), so he could be with the one he love.

They say yellow/gold is a sort of homage to his affair with zayn Malik ( his mic was yellow, sunflower tattoos) so his was green: GREEN & yellow. That’s what’s bouncing around & also Harry carried the torch for zayn for a LONG TIME, but zayn even tho he loved Harry back couldn’t come to grips with being gay, SO HE FATHERED A CHILD!
