thanks for this video! i have a pathe that among its other issues recently got extremely fast and makes a loud screechy sound as the platter spins.if the tone arm isnt on the record its spins extremely fast probably almost twice 78rpm.now im gonna open it up and see what i can make out.
This could be your problem..also on a Victor you motor you should check to see that the little screws holding the springs (governor weights) are good and tight. There is also one very small screw on the governor shaft located between the weights that should be tight.
Can you tell me what is the meaning of the governor? I'm trying to build a wind up barbeque motor and i see the governors in every wind up mechanisms. Thanks
forgot to add that when i wound it all the way down the t.t. started spinning in reverse? is my pathe in serious trouble?hahah thanks again for the great videos joe
