I can understand the cash only, I've been a vendor for PRGE. 1. People who buy through Square, PayPal, Venmo, etc can later, after the purchase call the customer service departments and say it was a fraudulent charge thus they get there money back and the game. 2. Cash is King. 3. With the laws changing around the usage of said online forms of payment taxes are a pain the butt. 4. Getting a Wi fi signal in those convention centers can be extremely difficult.

Yeah about that- I was with a former military guy while at the show. You had some guy in a skirt & camouflaged jacket helping people learn Steel Battalion. Help is cool. A guy disrespecting the military by dressing like that- very uncool. Disrespectful. So- please don't do that again. & don't try to say it was a "kilt." Still bad. :(
Steel battalion is a video game dude, not the military. And camouflage jackets aren't military either haha.. I'm former infantry and could care less what people are wearing at a video game expo get real! Haha peace.
"That guy with the prototypes in his backpack at his booth" was actually Josh of J Gaming inside of The Marketplace in Niles MI. He didn't have a booth this year hence the backpack but it was at my booth. Those boxed intellivision games under the prototypes were ones I've collected over the years. It was great seeing you and the crew again at the show! We will be at Power up con in South Bend, IN in late August both with our own booths though. And at corgs con in Columbus OH tomorrow. That $10k MK cart though xD

So funny to hear “couple of states away”. Where I live, the next state is at least 3 hours away. To get two states away, you’re talking at least 10 hours (if not more).
@@leeartlee915 dude's gotta be from the midwest, because we're notorious for thinking a 15 hour road trip is a cake walk. It's more effort to make the drive, but timewise it's comparable to taking a flight.
@@Fast_Travel_Gamer I didn’t think so when I was 19. I sure as hell do now. Not sure how old you are but when you get passed 30 (at least for me) it starts being harder and harder to power through long drives. You gotta get out, rest and stretch. It’s a whole ordeal.
The rain was nuts that weekend! I live about 50 miles north and drove through that monsoon. Glad you enjoyed the show! I think I’ve been going for at least 12 years, from the humble Nicolet High School, the the olympia, Sheraton in Brookfield and now the Wisconsin Center. Always a blast!

I travel the world searching out different buffets so I can sneak corndogs into them. I carry with me 6 corndogs stuffed away in my jackey pockets. I will then sneak them into the fried food sections of the buffet. It then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the buffet enjoying my corndogs. They think they are part of the buffet. (;

Totally off topic tidbit. If you're ever back in Milwaukee, and looking for a good brewery tour, then take a look at Lakefront Brewery. They bought the beer bottling line from the opening sequence to Laverne & Shirley and use it to this day. Thought it was interesting that you referenced the show. Ope, almost forgot the bottling line is also featured in Wayne's World. And there you have it, a bit of hyer-localization for ya. Now make sure you tells your folks I says Hi and watch out for deer.
Metal Jesus reminds me of when I used to go to the gamestore back in early 2000's as a kid and there was just an awesome dude there knowing everything about games. Miss these times man!
Watching this made me realize two things: #1: MJR and his crew are synonymous to top-quality YT entertainment. No matter how many channels i’ve tried to date, MJR videos are always my go-to videos ;) #2: I live in central Europe and seeing all those expos in the U.S. makes me super envious. 3 floors of gamer geekiness overload in Milwaukee? Can only dream about that. You should definitely see if you can go go the Houston Arcade Expo on November 11th through the 13th. It's more focused on classic arcade and pinball games but there's so many vendors and a lot of fun to be had. Very underrated convention.
Lords of the Trident reminds me so much of Timmy and the Lord's of the Underworld. I'm from Wisconsin, but didn't know about this and I had the day off ahhh~ oh well
13:18 - YES! Every once in a while I look up Steel Battlion videos just to see people play the controller and see if people make mods for it on Space Sims...just to know there are LAN partys of the game warms the heart
Oh, wow, I've actually been living here my entire life and it's always kinda strange seeing new faces come visit. Glad to see you had a good time :) (There's actually some pretty cool stuff in Milwaukee (and Wisconsin as a whole), but you'll get a vary different experience depending on what time of year it is, and some aren't very well known, so each visit could be pretty different.)
Wow, I had no idea mega media xchange still existed! I’m around an hour and a half north, in Appleton, and we used to have one of those here but it was nowhere near as cool!
I never even knew there was an event like this in my own backyard! (I live about a half hour away from Milwaukee) I'm a fan of Mega Media Xchange, and even used to frequent the one in Brookfield. Didn't know about Up Down, either; I need to go downtown more often. Anyway, great video. Glad you had fun.
Thanks for showing love to our city. The national media usually dumps on us. Most people who come for a weekend generally like it. It is a good city for a quick kick it session. Not the best for a long stay tbh.
I live only an hour and a half away from Milwaukee in Madison. I was completely unaware of this expo, I might have to go some year. Thanks for exposing this to me MetalJesus! Also we have a Mega Media Exchange in Madison and it's really cool as well. By the way if you're ever in Madison you may want to check out Aftershock Classic Arcade. It's the best vintage arcade I ever been to.

Glad to have you visit our state. My wife and I have gone to Midwest Gaming Classic for years. We've only visited Seattle once in early 2019, but had a great time there. It's definitely colder and wetter here in Wisconsin, heheh
My gramps growing up had an arcade warehouse out there somewhere I’m in CA and I used to go to his house in Vegas so he used to commute there make sales repairs etc. but it was great at residence in the garage there was a players choice 10 and an OG space invaders cabinet
