The snake sounds are symbolic of something I’m pretty sure, or it brings attention to their mouth. I would suppose super white eyes and teeth indicate health. Probably also derives from the whites being obvious when someone has dark skin. Stand out features usually accentuated in different cultures
I am fulani but i find this scary instead of seductive. We have many tribes under the fulani ethnic group and the wodaabe are just a tribe. We have the Mbororo, the Akuji, the wodaabe... etc.

The physical attraction is enticing but that damn physique can also kill you! I take particular notice of the eyes - always watching and without tunnel vision. The first thing that comes to my mind when watching this dance is the scene when many species of birds showing their feather, move, etc to attract their mate. I do not any disrespect for cultural stuff, but this is really the first thing that comes to my mind. I really can't help it. I assume the purpose of this kind of dance is to attract females. A very unique way to attract the opposite sex. But hey, I see many other people doing weird things to attract mate such as getting into drugs to show how tough they are, to oppress other boys to show how strong they are, etc. They themselves think what they did were to cool way to impress female, but in reality, many time it had the opposite effect and they did not know it. So this dance, in my opinion, is a very peaceful way to try to impress females much better than to show off their power and oppress people to show their toughness(I see this a lot in teenagers in many countries). I'm not impressed with this dance but I like this peaceful idea(well I assume this dance is really to attract mate, I may be wrong, but it look very much like it).
Hi. Yes you are correct in your assumption. It is done to attract a mate. They purposely stand taller, and make their eyes larger to show off the whites of them. In their culture, women are attracted to males who are tall, bright eyes and white teeth. That is beautiful to them. The men put on fancy clothes and perform this dance to showcase their features so to speak.
And probably no processed food or much sugar if any. I’d love to know how they eat other than their cattle as they travel. There must be fruit and veggies along their trails some how unless they buy it from the markets.
