Our job right now is to honour our forefathers and founders cause otherwise their wouldn’t be no Saint Markellas today but also we need to defend , cherish & protect the church by the grace of Jesus Christ Amen
Dear father demetrius. I have contacted st herman press to help them print their out of print books and even to help them rewrite books and do the formatting. however after asking st herman press to bring back books like acquisition of the Holy Spirit in ancient russia and others, i got a response saying that isn't something the abbot would bless? I wonder why did st herman press stopped printing so many good old books. I'm willing to print myself without any financial support...but denied by st herman press monastery. strange indeed these books they have older onces told stories about the spiritual children of the saints very interesting and miracles and so on.
It's not merely about just changing the calender but a much larger issue as we can see. if it was than why are old calendar churches being persecuted. why bother them leave them alone go about your own business. I do not understand how can anyone say I'm a Christian and not love it's neighbor?
You only forgot to mention two things in the "great" conference... First is how you edited out Archbishop Auxentios of Athens from the photo with Saint Philaret of New York. And second is how you forgot to mention that Petros of Astoria was defrocked by the synod of the Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece for giving Holy Communion to New Calendarists...
As I just heard it from a bishop, the Photoshop thing was probably Bishop Christodoulos, who seems to be in his own little world, not really connected to the Synod in Greece, which has Archbishop Auxentios in this photograph with all the Bishops. Bishop Petros was not officially defrocked. You are wrong about that. More importantly, Archbishop Auxentios used to give Communion to New-calendarists. In fact, the Abbess at his convent would TAKE Communion from New-calendarists! Such a thing never happened with Bishop Petros.
If Archbishop Auxentios was giving Holy Communion to New Calendarists how come he has condemned them in a synodical encyclical as graceless which encyclical Petros of Astoria refused to sign???
That's a very good question. Maybe you should ask your bishop. He knows very well. Bishop Petros did not sign that document because the bishops in ROCOR told him not to.
