Purchased this exact vehicle. Former Honda owner since 1992. Most recent was 2003 Accord V6 driven for 15 Years, great Car. I ended up going with the Camry this time. So far absolutely amazing Vehicle.
There are plenty of big sedans that are under 40 and used/preowned under 30. Avalon, ES 350, Camry, Accord. Space is not the issue, it's the fact that crossovers weren't selling, and manufacturers incentivised them to insanity to push volume. As the amount of them on the road increased people took notice and started to buy them too. Also women love BIG cars. Most crossovers are driven by single women... That's an official statistic. So why have a huge car for ONE person? Status/popularity/incentives. Next. Turbos have been used for a LONG time by German counterparts, and PROVEN to be unreliable. Done deal. The new Toyota engines are bullet proof just like previous generations. Toyota seemed to have thought of every detail about them. From the injection systems to how to save gas by using the Atkinson cycle and so on. As the CEO said they don't want to implement ANYTHING that may compromise reliability.
The reason is, the market favors Kia/Hyundai cars which look better, and have better warranties and have a 10-20% lower sticker price. On average, people only keep their cars 3-5 years anyway... so why spend the extra on a Honda/Toyota... bah. Buy a Kia Stinger and let the Camry die. (Speaking as a 2015 Camry owner.)
