It's not just power, but also response and smoothness. My Audi A4 tuned was a blast to drive in daily and spirited driving but only had 310hp. On the other hand my 350hp BMW 330 tuned, is awfully lazy off the line, lacks low-mid power around town or for practical passing, more turbo lag, and more throttle lag. Two cars can have same power/weight ratio and have completely different personalities.
I have 2019 1.8T 4motion manual for daily. Bought new for little over $6K off. Had to ship from cali to nyc for $1k but still saved huge money. It also has one and only option of driver assistance/blind monitoring/ depature warning. Everything about this car is great. Driven 16K miles so far and only down side for me would be steering could use more feedback. Feels numb especially compared to my bmw e90 m3 back in the day but better than anything in its class probably. Also breaking can use more bite. But then what am I complaining, i got a new car for 19k when avg new car price is now 47k. Another note. I am getting at least 40mpg highway. I drive mostly city yet getting avg mpg of 31. Absolutely crushes what vw advertises and i do bit of spirit driving.
This is the worst car I ever owned! Driver side headlight goes out once a year, constantly adding engine oil (already change the engine on 62K miles), steering arm issue, power steering pump.
I prefer this enclave over the new style. They are total tanks in the snow when AWD. They’ll go anywhere. Not sure about the new ones because they’re not full time awd.
You cannot have a 75 S1 its a 75 S1C, my favourite paint stripe especially in blue. My first 2 stroke triple. Freedom, lots of young women, a means to go to live entertainment, the most rewarding bike I've ever owned in my life. The most amazing sound, a bike that I still dream about in my 60s . Bigger more powerful bikes , but non have the magic of a Kawasaki 2stoke triple 250. A love that will never die.
I've just noticed it has original seat seat, original mirrors , missing a rear mudguard. Chambers and rejetting as you had to do to reclaim the power the EU stole,. I kept the original parts in the loft. I had a 77kh 400 and I was 100% happy with until service, by collecting time they I think 79/80 cannot remember, they had a brand new 1976 very old stock KH 500 I did 80k +miles on it with a friend doing engine rebuilds on it, he loved doing it . But my real love was my 250 and in East Grinstead West Sussex, the most incredible motorcycle town ever.
Avalon is not ideal for tall drivers with cramped head room when your getting in!!Otherwise Avalon is ofcourse a very good car as well as Impala but I want a comfort Impala that fits my height!Toyota did not make Avalon for tall drivers for some odd reason!
Eric, only video I could find showing horsepower used through normal driving. Are there any mathematical formulas or relationships that exist to calculate the amount of horsepower needed by a vehicle when the co-efficient of drag s known. For sample, would a 2.7l turbo 4 cylinder in a Silverado and a 6.6l Duramax in a GMC Sierra 1500 both need the same horsepower to maintain 60 mph? Thanks, DGBryan
You have a good question. Might be more complicated to answer considering: 1) if an engine is high-rev/low bottom-end torque or low-rev/high bottom-end torque; 2) transmission gearing/final drive ratio, and whether one has any control over it when shifting; 3) weight of vehicle; 4) tire diameter size; 5) as you said - co-efficient of drag.
"Look at how wide this (rear) door opens" Yes. Yes. This. Two kids, two kid seats, and my God, this door opens almost a full 90 dgerees. No other car I have owned has door that open as far.
Dude just get a tractor if you need a lot of power. The more horse power you have, the heavier your vehicle gets, and more power is needed to maintain the speed. In the end you will end up with a 4 ton car that burns fuel like nothing else. Weve been using a 90 horse power car for 5 years. Having more would be nice, but its not necessary.
What would be the value now for a vehicle like this without the 4 wheel drive. Limited edition. I found one in amazing shape but the miles is 83,000. ????? I checked KBB but I would love to know what NADA rated it.
I had this vehicle we bought it brand new I hated it. It would shake like it was a stick shift when I would be driving sometimes . I new it was gonna be a lemon . I got rid of it and bought a 2019 jeep grand Cherokee no problems .
1 of the worst cars in ever purchased. Wound up trading it in upside down because I was desperate to get out of it. Trash suspension, vague extremely lite steering. Only good thing about this car is the transmission and engine
You *could* use a 50hp engine to cruise like you show in that clip but also keep in mind that would mean you would be using full throttle and probably at a pretty high RPM which means a noisy ride
