I hate to tell this about myself but during my first marriage in my mid 20's I cheated. Long story short I confessed to my mom she not only chewed my ass out, she also called my husband at the time and told on me. No children and we did divorce. He actually wanted to try counseling to work things out but I knew I wasn't in love and called it. That was over 15 years ago but my mom did the right thing, I didn't deserve blind loyalty just because she is my mother. I learned valuable lessons and mom doesn't regret it nor should she! My ex did go on to find his soulmate. I since remarried and never cheated again.

I’ve only seen maybe a half dozen episodes over the years and never a full one but I think the reason this is so big is because the situation resonates for everyone when it comes to the pain and heartache and betray. It has certainly brought back painful memories of my past experiences.

When I watched Scheana (sp?) and Jamie talk about how Rachel told a totally different story about the Vegas/havasu trip and how Katie’s mom was so mean to her…umm she was not mean at all! Fine lie about the girls but not a mother watching her daughter go through a divorce! It’s low hanging fruit

as someone whose seen the show a bunch of times, i remember ariana has gotten upset about all the guys trips and boys nights, especially excluding her during hard times of her life. cant imagine how she felt when she was EXCLUDED from "boys night" a few days after charlotte passed, ft. scheana, raquel and charlie. i just know she had to have some kinda idea that this was weird.

Side note: I went back to Season 1 and started binge-watching the entire show again. I'm up to Season 5 now. In the Season 5 opener, the gang is at the Sky Bar for the Ok Magazine party. In the scene where James & Lala come up to the table and start spouting out horrible insults...Scheana hauls off and smacks James' arm and knocks his drink out of his hand. So, yeah - Scheana is capable of impulsively hitting someone. Just say'n.

Sandoval has been cheating MUCH longer than what is said. Schwartz moved Jo in way too quick. What did Scheana know about Jo and when?? And Katie doesn't owe an apology for how she reacted to the others' cruelty. SCANDOVAL: Go back to the last reunion. Everyone was shocked Rachel dumped James. He had stopped drinking and turned things around. She had got engaged finally, she always defended him and never believed a bad word about him. Then suddenly.. Byeee. Ttly out of her character. I think Sandoval was cheating with Rachel back when she was with James. I think the $25k party gift to James was so that James, and Ariana - and everyone else would think he was such a good friend, when in reality, he was already fooling around with Raquel. It was a grand gesture to Rachel, guised as goodwill but was an arrogant gesture, a slap in the face that James didn't realize at the time. It was a "see what I can do for you, that James can't" sort of thing. "I'm better than him." He always tries to make himself appear better than everyone else. James and Raquel broke up just a few months later. To me, it's also telling that although Raquel said last reunion, that she was going off into the sunset to work with disabled children (typical rehearsed pageant response), she did NOT do that. Instead, she stuck around with NO storyline without James. But she had one, we just didn't know it. If her relationship with James was over and she was supposedly a Saint and had a dream of working with disabled children, she'd have left and pursued her goals. So what kept her there? Sandoval. That's my opinion. They may claim that she was loyal to James and nothing happened until they broke up.... I don't believe it. I think James is going to spill some tea in retrospect. Remember... there was NOTHING keeping her in LA once she and James parted. Her father even came to SUPPOSEDLY get her, you'd think she'd have left and moved on. The show didn't "need" her. Sandoval was the storyline that gave her a reason to stay. Just my opinion. Sandoval let it slip... this went on BEFORE Lake Havasu. He said it was never a good time to leave... He mentioned the dog... he let it slip he couldnt leave her at the time the dog passed. You don't even think about LEAVING your common-law wife of almost a decade for just a shag. He was wanting to leave admittedly AT LEAST since then. I firmly believe she dumped James and Sandoval was to exit his relationship next. But Sandoval overthought it cause he had to figure out how to do it so he looked good. He suddenly faced a year of losses for Ariana and he knew it would be brutal optics to leave so it screwed up his scheme. Raquel and Schwartz were going to "agree" they "weren't right for each other". Then in a couple or few months, Sandoval would go "official" with Raquel. And when everyone jumped on them... he and Raquel were going to say you were all okay when it was Raquel and Schwartz - you're all just Bitter Betty hypocrites. We fell in love... we're victims and you're all haters. The fact he was mad when he heard Lala went in on Raquel - that was his girl. THE LOOK he gives her.... nah... that look - like he wanted to devour Rachel didn't just come about in that split second. And he knew she'd left the girls trip. Someone invited HER there... but Ariana was not. SCHWARTZ: If they all agreed its OK to date within their circle... it would help him and Jo. Schwartz KNEW about the affair. Sandovals mom knew, his best friend DEFINITELY KNEW. I think he didn't speak up because Sandoval was covering for HIM TOO, with Jo. He and Katie announced their split in March, they both move out around 2 or 3 months later - and by June he's moving into an apartment and immediately has a girl move in. You don't just jump out of one longterm relationship and start living with someone so quickly unless enough time has passed you think it's a comfortable, right move. AND its just a coincidence its another friend?? This is also Kristen Doutes BEST FRIEND. What's with these guys?? So you had a SECOND situation with many in the group not willing to hang with Schwartz and Jo. So... he hung around with Sandoval and Rachel... cause they were in the same boat. They were doing things they absolutely knew would not be supported by the group. Meanwhile... you have Scheana encouraging Schwartz to move on "because Katie" has, "Katie's having a party", "Katie's hooking up"... all making Schwartyz look like such a victim in the situation... but he'd already moved much FARTHER on than Katie. Which makes Schwartz's cruelty towards Katie that much worse. SCHEANA: What did SHE know?? Did she really believe that Kristen Doute stopped being friends with her BEST FRIEND Jo - but nothing was happening between Jo and Schwartz? That Scheana knew nothing of the fact that no one would hang with those two? She didn't think it was weird that Jo had moved in with Schwartz (and quickly) ... but Kristen was literally just down the street and she wasn't staying with her best friend Kristen? If they were just friends, he'd only be a short walk away. Is Scheana so naive or dumb that she didn't know about Rachel and Ariana AND didn't know about Schwartz and Jo? But she's such good friends with "the guys"? I think she needs to come clean about what she knew and when. Not accusing... just saying make it make sense. This is going to make this reunion a lot dicier. Scheana was not a friend to Katie - while claiming not to be taking sides. I'd be asking questions about this "Jo". Scheana comes across as being bitter about "something" towards Katie. What led to the pettiness we all saw? She ran to Schwartz to tell him EVERYTHING she could about Katie. He let himseldlf be painted like such a victim which makes his part in this SO MUCH WORSE. He faked the Rachel thing, while denying anything was happening with Jo. She questioned why is Katie talking to Schwartz about the divorce they were going through - which is moronic. OF COURSE they discussed THEIR divorce. They wanted to remain friends and were trying to navigate that path but too many ppl THOUGHT they were entitled to an opinion and inserted themselves where they did not belong. I wouldn't be friends with ppl who did that to me ever again. Charlie included. Maybe Katie is the bigger person. I wouldn't blame her though if that is a hard boundary for her. Rachel was validated and enabled at every turn. Openly disrespecting another woman, was cheered on and applauded. I don't believe that Scheana, somewhere, wasn't "testing" Katie on the whole "I'm good and don't care, he can bang whoever" thing. Ppl say all kinds of things to themselves and their friends when they're going through it, to convince themselves they're OK. We've all had friends who were clearly struggling but said "I'm good". I'd never believe that and surely wouldn't test it. Katie just asked for kindness. Please don't take my pain and slap me with it and don't take my private business and hurt Schwartz. It was damaging to their relationship. Tee heeing that Schwartz had more ppl on his side... I mean... come on.... I'm glad Scheana has reflected. Inserting herself into someone else's divorce and attempt to maintain a friendship and preserve the love they had for each other, and twelve YEARS together. They were family. I'm sure Scheana saw Katie's mom cry. Says it all. For ppl to say well "Hatie" deserves it... two wrongs don't make a right and pain from a divorce is not the time to take a stand. It sounds like Schwartz doesn't blame Katie for leaving. So if you must pick a "thing", that wasn't it. I think cheating played more of a role than Katie has revealed. If Scheana wasn't aware of the thing with Jo, then she should be second guessing that friendship and obviously she wasn't "in" with the guys like she thought and was USED. The last episodes and reunion are going to be crazy.
