@@blaarg001 A copy of Prime Time 2's still up ("uploaded 16 years ago"... Where did the time go?) but can't find the original or the Prime Time 3 trailer.
The attention to detail is really great. They put love into this. I just wish somebody would make straight MP versions of these AEC trilogy characters. I like most of the design updates they did here, but the original truck was so odd and charming that I miss it. Anyway, I did get this guy and I am beyond happy that I got him.
Biggest problem for me with the original wasn't that he was FAT but instead in his Super mode the drill foot was never built correctly thus it never stood flat against the ground and instead was bent upward too high making Optimus unbalanced and wobbly as he stands.
I think u were referring to Planet-X Cacus where it had the eye gimmick in both modes...this looks really cool fanshobby did a really good job of making fatimus prime actually look heroic, I prefer Armada O.P but this is no slouch...thanx for the video 👍
Sold me on this. Seen lots of other reviews, but yours did it. Always love that you review these as TOYS, pointing out different details and play features in detail
That one time Optimus cosplayed as a Sentai Zord... :) Cool figure, great review. Nice to see something bigger than a Legends class on your show once in a while. ;)
I love this new Energon Optimus Prime😱🥺🤩🤩🤩!!! This powerful robot made me remember my most glorious life stage!!!!♥️🌟... ...When I used to be a 15 aged boy, I've gotten this robot as Three Wise Men gift on January 6th in 2005, even though I was a teenager student in the Junior High School Number 82 " Ptofessor Jose Solano". I'm from Mexico!!!!.
@peaugh No problem, and now let's hope that Fans Hobby makes their own takes on Energon Wing Saber and Omega Supreme so that we can have Fans Hobby's versions of Energon Sonic Wing mode Optimus Prime amd Optimus Supreme!
That face flip gimmick is clever. It's been used on a couple of official movie Optimus toy to give him his unmasked face but using it for an alternate, bigger face is really cool. Not fond at all of this design for Prime but they did a really good job updating it
I have high hopes for Energon Unverse Optimus Prime to be next year's Legacy United Commander Class figure. Partly because I want to continue the Unicron Trilogy trend from Armada Universe Optimus Prime from this year. The big question though is how will they pull it off?
Finally, the Transformers X Power Rangers cross-over I've always wanted 😂. It's such a good looking figure, and much like Naval Commander, finally does justice for the figure and character as a whole
I think this does a very good job at representing what it's supposed to be. Unfortunately what it's supposed to be isn't my thing at all. I never liked the Energon Optimus design at all. But for Energon fans this is a great looking MP scale figure, and I think Fanshobby pretty much always knocks it out of the park when it comes to value for money.
@@nightmarelyoko better Google Energon Optimus so you remember what it looks like. Or watch the video, which will show you what an MP-scale 3P Energon Optimus looks like. ;)
Around $260 for this guy seems like a lot, considering that was about how much Double Evil was and he was a lot more figure. But I trust Fans Hobby and their products and can't wait for mine to arrive
Does he only have knees below the calf part? In the cartoon the calves became the super mode thighs and he had a knee above them rather than below which was the super mode knee
I really like this figure except for the backpack. Personally I don't see why you would ever display him in his skinnier form since it forms massive black slabs on his back. At least with his chungus form you can hide the back wheels almost completely. And the price they're asking for too, idk man. I'm gunna get this figure, but god damn I feel like fans hobby compromised in the wrong places to get a thinner silhouette
The Third-party versions of the well-known Transformers figures are, in my opinion, more accurate in appearance and color scheme than, for example, the Generation 1 Transformers figures
I will readily admit, I was never really _too_ into the design of Energon Optimus, or at least not as far as his base robot mode is concerned. Something about that base form always felt… off, so I never really liked it as much as his Cybertron and _especially_ his Armada designs. I can't say this figure does too much to improve my impression of the base form, since unfortunately that's just how the form has to be to necessity his primary gimmick, but on the other hand, the _ARMORED_ form this figure has looks GREAT. It comes off WAY cleaner overall than I remember the original Energon figure ending up when it was armored, and the added touches they gave it such as the drill tank even having its own hand to use instead of _just_ the drill if you wanted the option is honestly great. More importantly than any of that, though, is that I'm honestly just really glad to see even more figures from the Unicorn Trilogy start to make their way into the 3rd Party market like this. There are _so_ many different characters from the Trilogy that had some good designs, but ended up with not great figures for one reason or another, or just haven't really gotten much spotlight over the years in general. So I'm excited to see how things could potentially go if they start to get more attention over time like.
does this need to be 37 minutes long.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. no
