Thank you for the review. Looking at all the Primes standing side by side I can see with my own eyes how good this version of Powermaster Prime is. I personally think he's the best up to date. Even though trailer seems not to be that good and there's a room for improvement, still this SuperGinrai stays the best of what I've seen and the most screen-accurate of all. I really hope Maketoys will produce the real Godbomber for this guy one day. This set of armor-in-pieces is a shame upon their toyline IMO. And I hope like hell they will sell a pack of Godbomber and Manus (or Godbomber and Erebus, at least) that day.
I honestly don't really dig the overall look of the base combined mode for Thunder Manus as much as I do Thunder Erebus, there is just something about those Nemesis Prime colors that just works super well with the mold that I don't feel coming from the more traditional Optimus/Ginrai colors. That fully combined God Ginrai mode though? *_Amazing._* The slight alterations to the figure's color scheme from the Divine armor does a whole lot in this guy's favor, (the blue forearms being chief among them) and just the overall look of the future with all of the added bits on is definitely a sight to behold. And once that sword was pulled out? Man, that was just what this guy needed to pull everything together for me, and I never would have guessed his shoulder cannon even split apart into that thing just from looking at it. Again, I do like Thunder Erebus' base form more overall, (base form in this case being all three modes) but that doesn't even feel like it matters considering just how different the two figures feel when you put them both next to each other with Thunder Manus all armed up.
Don't know if this is just my figures, but it seems like the joints that were tight on my Erebus are loose on my Manus, and the joints that were loose on Erebus are tight on Manus. Other than that oddity, and with they're my new favorite figures to display together brothers-in-arms style (I like the idea of the Nucleon Quest coloring better than a Super-Nemesis)
i got mine a few days ago, and my version of the little ginrai/optimus figure didnt have a belly grill out of the box. i still love this figure, and thunder erebus as well, but this was a bit funny to me.
I don't really care about the story if he had it or not. It simply looks cool. Oh awesome thanks John. I hope they go through with it. If not ill get this one and repaint it. Lol.
