Thanks for the review. You solved one of my biggest complaints, which is the way the tires stick out in PM mode. Now I see they slide way into the legs and it looks much better.
For those interested in measurements, here is what Swerve's World review noted (his videos are in Cantonese): vehicle mode length from cab to trailer - 410mm (16 inches), height in Powermaster Optimus Prime mode from toe to top of shoulder cannons turned up: 315mm (12 inches), combined weight is 1.138 kg (2.5 lbs).
Can't wait to see how Fans Hobby does their version of God Bomber, I remember seeing a teaser image at TFcon of him plus the combined form of God Ginrai.
I was on the fence because I had the Powermaster Prime as a kid, but never watched the episodes with him. Now, I think I am going to have to get this just because it looks so good.
I was hoping that the 3rd parties would manage to do away with the fake truck-front/chest. One thing unique about the G1 was the powermaster gimmick which unlocked the transformation, which was explained as well in the Marvel’s Transformers #42 issue.
Got a reissue at tfcon 2022 this past weekend and while Iove it overall I'm still not used to third party qc and I'm already seeing some stress marks on the tabs his shoulders plug into in normal robot mode. Any tips or tricks to avoid or reinforce certain things?

But he's too small! Now granted, Maketoys Thunder Erebus/Manus Scales perfectly with the Titans Return voyager Optimus Prime and Octone (Octane) figures in vehicle mode, but Maketoys should have designed it better so that it can scale better in both vehicle and robot mode.
Thanks for showing the sliding leg locking mechanism. I had some worries about that part of the transformation, but I'm glad that it wont be an issue. None of the other reviews show the buttons on the legs.
The proportions in vehicle mode are weird, especially on the trailer. That aside, this figure wins almost on size alone. I thought the base bot was about Voyager-sized. My jaw dropped hard when peaugh pulled out MP10. How much is this guy? I might look into getting one.
9:56-10:00, I couldn't see the process by which the head passed between the arms, if you'd just elevated the tripod beforehand, that would've saved buyers a lot of guesswork. I won't buy him any time soon, but I was just pointing out a way to improve your cinematography.
This made me wish Takara did Ginrai instead of Star Saber as well as Hasbro saving Powermaster Prime for POTP (then I would have bought that instead of either Leader Prime we got in Titans Return or Power of the Primes).
Gotta disagree, it would’ve so bad if Takara did it. So much happier that real fans made this for ADULTS. So it’s a little complex, and that complexity makes for better final forms.
I always preferred to say weapon emplacement instead of 'base' mode. Was G1 Powermaster Prime smaller than the original? If not Fanshobby maybe the first in a while to respect their toyline's scale when they do a powermaster.
