Once Lockdown has been hired to track down a subject, nothing stops him from completing his transaction short of total deactivation. Unfortunately for the Autobot medic, Ratchet is Lockdown's next target, and Lockdown, as always, has been paid handsomely for his destruction. He's also run afoul of Arcee previously, in some unspecified circumstance.

I used to have these crazy dreams that took place in giant department stores with huge Transformer toy sections. A couple times, I saw a bunch of Bumblebee figures that were 5 or 6 feet tall, and another time I almost bought a Human Alliance Lockdown.

The exotic sports car is overused in the movies tbh. The lambo is cool car but it's not unique enough for lockdown in my opinion.

Yeah the 2009 transformers revenge fallen bio for lockdown said he sent to destroy ratchet then 5 years later in Transformers 4 he actually kills him, That's Some Forshadowing

Honestly, I don't like animated Lockdown. His car form is amazing, but his robot form isnt creepy enough for me. Id get animated for his vehicle mode and rotf for the robot mode and giant hook, unless of course AoE Lockdown is better.

Interestingly, this guy was reused as a G1 version of Lockdown. Plus the engine isn't his EMP generator. The gun Deluxe Ratchet was stolen as his own EMP generator. Plus you can put either the engine or Ratchet's EMP generator in there.

Around the same time this toy came out, this take on Lockdown was reused as a Generation 1 version of the character that debuted in IDW's comics. I think because of that is what caused the live-action movie version of Lockdown to appear differently.

In Age of Extinction, Lockdown kills Ratchet like you know and Ratchet knew who he was in the movie. They probably had a rivalry and they could'eve made Ratchet live and show their rivalry in the movie so Ratchet could finally get some character in the movie and the spotlight a bit.

Lockdown is the Transformers version of the Terminator, lol. Which I like. Looks like a heavily modified 1970's muscle car. Animated Lockdown looks better in car mode like u said. His robot mode is very good and has better proportions. Cool review.

@optibotimus I only owned one of those things too. I bought Smokescreen when he came out and after I spent 20 minutes transforming him, I threw him in a box and haven't seen him since. I never did get him stuffed back into vehicle mode. It was a nice concept but those cemented my hate for overly complicated transformations. A kid would've hurled that thing across the room.

I think the reason why your would prefer animated for his colors and stuff is because it's CARTOONY. Movieverse Lockdown is supposed to be realistic. (He might have already said this but I must have not heard)

I just got this figure friday.I'm going to get the animated version too,because my OCD won't allow me to just have the one.I'm waiting on a Sentinel Prime,Blurr,and earthmode Megatron with the black repaint to hopefully be delivered tomorrow.I wouldn't have known about the animated Lockdown without your review...thanks.

My figure is quite fragile. His left arm keeps popping off and the tab behind his chest that connects the chest plate to the actual chest broke. It's still usable, though.

This figure is from the RotF line tho...... he just wasn't in the film. (He WAS in the Cyber Missions miniseries, but that's a different sort of thing)
