They even do the graphics in this game so it would run smooth (all the maps were laggin) and they actually done it a feature, they got lemons and made lemonade
This is a great piece of music for one of the best video game characters. It strikes a melancholic, nostalgic tone that perfectly fits the childhood relationship of Tifa and Cloud. It doesn't have the grand operatic stirring of Aerith's theme, but it's still incredible.
mr uematsu did a really good job with this piece: this track always makes me remember one of my girl classmates, and i still remember that we loved each other, even if none of us wanted to tell the other, and as i remember our relationship was really similar to the one between cloud and tifa; probably i also did a promise that i will always defend her, but i dont renember. and on top of that, all of this happened when i played final fantasy vii for the first time(it was a pure coincidence). nowadays, though, everything ended badly when we got in high school, but i still have her memory in my heart, wondering if she'll came back like tifa did...
Tifa is literally the best female videogame character from all history. I love the fact that her theme was made to portrait her relationship with Cloud, also it was made immediately after Mr Nobuo created the first version of FFVII main theme (it was called Cloud's theme back then)
I remember getting into 7th heaven for the first time. Feeling a sense of warmth in the midst of all the chaos from the bombing mission, a sense of nostalgia, god nobuo uematsu is such a genius
Love these kind of homely, heartwarming music. 🥰🤟 Why my other fave FF music is like Rydia's Theme, Theme of Love, Relm's Theme and so many more like Tifa's Theme. I tried to learn this in piano/organ and other FF songs. Thanks for the timeless memorable music!
One of my favorite songs from the game. This song sounds honely, warm and familiar, very much fitting for the theme of the character that is your best friend from childhood. This was always my first really enjoyable scene from the original game.
People would always confuse the personality of Tifa and Aeris. Tifa was the caring softspoken sensitive princess while Aeris was a caring outspoken party animal.
I hated Tifa in the original. She was just there to be "supportive girl" and didn't seem to have much agency of her own. She just existed and her fanservice design annoyed me as a late teenager. While I can't say I love the character, I definitely feel she got a huge improvement in the new Remake continuity. She has a personality and reason for existing beyond Cloud.
But she always had agency, she joined avalanche and sought revenge against Shinra on her own. Her goal of helping Cloud was her own choice. She even rescues herself when Shinra captured her. Remake didn't even change anything, other than sexualize her more lol
@@lpstweetytv5242 Tifa was originally conceived as a romantic foil to Aerith and it shows in the original script. She bounced from male authority figure to male authority figure: her father, her mentor, Barrett, Cloud. She doesn't seem to have strong feelings about fighting Shinra. She also is the one who holds the childhood promise over on Cloud, which is ludicrous for a grown woman. She seems to only exist to be The Girl of the group, particularly after Aerith is removed from the equation. By contrast, Yuffie is a complete character who could carry her own game (and indeed now stars in her own DLC). They addressed a lot of these issues in Remake. She's more of a well-rounded character who seems to exist for more than Cloud. While I don't think she's strong enough to carry her own DLC, it would take only a little work to get her there.
@@mrsrobophile Her first draft doesn't matter, and neither does DLC. Yuffie only got one because her story had a lot of empty space in the og game. They also needed to find a way to get her into rebirth. What matters is Tifa's execution in the story. She doesn't really bounce from one male authority to the next, because none of them act as authority's to her. Her father never once tells her what to do, and only serves as her motivation. Barret Is someone who shares her goal and ideology, and Cloud is her friend she wants to help. Every decision she makes, she makes on her own. Even when others (usually the men in her life) disagree or tell her not too. She ends up contrasting Cloud himself, who wasn't strong enough to make his own decisions until the end of the game. Its why he admired her. Also, I'm pretty sure she mentioned the promise to check his memories and keep him close so she can keep an eye on him.
@@lpstweetytv5242 They completely turned the "promise" thing around in Remake, so I suspect not. But we can agree to disagree. I just have always found Tifa to be a lacking character and nothing will change that. I respect that other people find her interesting, but I do not.
