Joe, you’ll see he expanded on his low range since 2017. Know that when he performed SOS on that show, he was the 1st performance of the 1st episode of the season, & the 1st non Chinese permitted on the show. The audience was excited but they did not know him. The day that performance aired… the next day it had more than 600 MILLION views online in China!

The original Ave Maria was not religious but was adopted for use by the Christians. There have been over 600 versions but I think the Schubert might be the best known. I did not hear any versions until after listening to this vocalise version composed by Igor. I love the sounds at the beginning which mimic sounds recorded from deep space. Hey Joe, I'm a huge Dimash fan, been following his music for the last four years. As a videographer, I suggest listening and watching 'The story of one sky' you will be so impressed, the video is more of a short film set to music. I do recommend that you watch it.Its got plenty to sink your teeth to. It lasts for just under 15 mins. I don't want to give anything away, he had control over the thing, from story, settings, the singing, etc, you will NOT be disappointed. Ps. Love watching your channel, you keep it real ❤

I discovered Dimash a few months ago, and like you, I don't think there is anyone else with a voice like his. My favorite song of his is Ikanaide. It is the story of a much-loved Chinese movie actress. She was born in China, but was of Japanese lineage, so she disguised her Japanese heritage by changing her last name. At the end of WWII, she was outed as Japanese. The people who once loved her now despised her. She was deported to Japan, a country she had never seen, never to see China again. The song is the lament of her lover, asking her not to go, but of course, they both knew she had no choice. Dimash sings this song in both Japanese and Chinese. The Chinese version is called Autumn Strong. The song was written by Kōji Tamakia a Japanese singer, composer, and actor. Ikanaide means Please Don't Go. At one point, you can see the hair on the back of Dimash's head shaking from the power he is putting into the note he's singing. Have you ever watch a cartoon couple and you see their heart jump out when they see each other? I can see you becoming Dimashified with every facial expression. He is like a drug. Once you hear him (if you like him, not everyone does), you can't go a day without watching at least 1 video. You physically get emotional (goosebumps, drooling, crying, heart tightness etc.) One thing I should tell you though, get a good noise cancelling headphone to listen, because the computers don't get all of the strings and drums in the background , so you get cheated on the songs intent. Also, have a box of Kleenex nearby cause you just never know. Being a videographer, Dimash has some great music videos to see. They are all very professionally done, and they spared nothing in quality. One of his latest works: The Story of One Sky. The music video was written and directed by Dimash over a 3 year period. He stars in it and wrote and sings all of the music. It was presented to the Pope and other religious figures recently. It is a one of a kind story. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Unfortunately I didn’t find your first reaction to Dimash and I don’t know how much you know about him. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. The live version was performed just before “El Amor Enti”. These really show his abilities at so many different levels that I after over 60 years have never heard or seen before. I enjoyed your comments on the previous video. Dimash recommends listening to Diana Ankudinova. As always, enjoyable reaction. Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano. This is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria " 's opening vocals." Igor Krutoy composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. I read somewhere that the piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!" Another “Dear” fittingly described Dimash’s performances like this: "Every time I hear this beautiful man sing, it feels like he punches a hole in my chest and holds my heart in his hands, holding it so gently, until he finishes singing. Then releases it and removes his hand from my chest, and I'm left with an empty, aching feeling which can only be filled by listening to him sing again! It's a beautifully tortured relationship with Dimash." The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Igor Krutoy, the pianist, made this arrangement expressly for Dimash. Igor is a billionaire Russian composer who came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing "Sinful Passion", just to compose music for Dimash. He and Lara Fabian composed "Your Love" and " Know". He also composed "Stranger." Dimash can cover any song, but no one can cover a song of his. He did Hello, All By Myself, Adagio, and Ikanaide. The last is in Japanese. Dimash was one of the judges in this competition in 2021. He performed some amazing songs as a guest, this is one of them. It’s a new song based on a famous Catholic hymn of the same name, written by Russian billionaire composer/music mogul Igor Krutoy (on piano), at Dimash’s request. Igor is the creator of the New Wave competition in Sochi, Russia, which has been running for a number of years.

LOL. Dimash takes my breath away. It takes a lot of effort to make it look effortless. This version of Ave Maria was written by that bald piano man, Maestro Igor Krutoy, Russian/Ukrainian singer, composer, producer billionaire. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. English is his next best language, and some Mandarin Chinese. He probably knows how to say hello and thank you in a dozen languages. Together is an English pop song that his now, 16 yr old kid brother wrote for him, and he's in the video too, as it is an MV. Abilmansur (Dimash's brother) was 15 when he wrote it. Musical talent runs in the family. If you want a mind blowing English song try Stranger or Your Love. Great reaction! But as a videographer, I kinda wished you mentioned camera angles, lighting, special effects they had on stage, but i get it, Dimash blew your mind away. LOL.
He asked Igor Krutoy to make a version that crossed over every religion and that's how it was created. Dimash is the best vocalist without a doubt in known history, don't believe it follow the rabbit hole and you will be convinced.

Dimash is a Kasakh vocalist and composer, he speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts, master's degree in composition and finishing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances and is an advertising model (he is 6.1 feet tall). He has received countless awards and distinctions around the world. Right now he is in the United States, working on his new material that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are looking forward to. Dimash completed his doctoral studies and dissertation in Music this past spring. Shortly after that, he moved to the U.S. where he is attending the L.A. campus of the New York School of Fine Arts majoring in Film Directing. He is one stunning human being.
I love your reaction and your appreciation of Dimash. This was one of the three songs Dimash premiered at New Wave 2021. Dimash was a guest judge and sang several songs. Along with Ave Maria, his other premieres were Stranger and Fly Away. You might want to try Stranger next. It's in English and beyond anything you've seen of him so far. (Warning: it gets blocked a lot so you may need to put on some kind of filter.) Fly Away is something completely different (pop/EDM-ish) that is also worth checking out just to get a taste of his versatility. Looking forward to your next Dimash reaction.
