We were in Vienna from December 12-16 and it snowed on the day we arrived. There was a little bit of snow, but it didn't stay. We also saw some snow when we visited the Schonbrunn Palace outside the city of Vienna where it was a little colder. Maybe you'll get lucky and have some snow when you're there!

We had so much fun getting all dressed up and going to the opera in Vienna! Definitely a really cool cultural experience and we highly recommend going if you're able. Vienna is such an incredible city and it's magical during winter. Thanks for watching!

I really enjoyed your video! It got me really excited for my upcoming trip this December. I was wondering for the Christmas markets did they mostly only accept cash or was it a mix of card/cash? If so how much cash did you bring ? I plan to buy food and anything that catches my eye like you all did! Thank you!

We mainly paid for things in cash, but many places accepted either cash or card. There are definitely booths that only accepted cash, so we made sure we always had cash. There are ATMs all over the city, just make sure you use one from an actual bank so you get reasonable transaction fees. We kept around 100-200 euros on us for spending at markets. If you think you might buy a lot of souvenirs or food, you may want more money, but you can always stop by an ATM if you run out. Vienna is magical during Christmas season, we hope you have a blast! Thanks for watching!

We're glad you enjoyed it! We bought our tickets for the Vienna opera directly from the Wiener Staatsoper website. Here's a link to the main website, and then you can go to "Calendar & Tickets" to search for and buy tickets: www.wiener-staatsoper.at/en/ Thanks for watching!

Interesting Fact: Your group of three brings memories for me. The summer of my high school junior to senior year, I spent the summer camping through Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, and Russia, camping and sightseeing for three months with my sister and brother-in-law, who both taught for six years in an international school in Brussels. My sister was eleven years older than me. Traveling with a sister and her husband. Also at Christmas time, through Europe for six years in a row with my parents, and sister and brother-in-law out of Brussels, my eighth through twelfth grade years: Belgium, Holland, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia (then), etc. also Kenya and Tanzania, Africa and Australia and New Zealand…

When we visited, we bought a transit pass that was valid for 72 hours. It was really convenient and we just bought it at the main train station before heading into the city. We mainly used trams to get around. We also used google maps to help navigate and it was helpful for figuring out which trams to take. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!

Nice video, especially of the opera house. We hope to be there this Christmas -- not sure if we can spring for (or fit in) an opera, but we do hope to see the Vienna Boys Choir.

We're glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully you'll get a chance to see the Vienna Boys Choir - our biggest tip is to buy your tickets as soon as you can because things sell out especially during the holidays. Thanks for watching and have a great trip!
