Vienna Speakers - 2 of 2 

This video covers the second half of a review and repair of several Vienna Acoustics speakers.
These speakers were presented to me for repair as a complete 5.1 surround system (he had a subwoofer he used with them). I have since learned that they are not a set at all, but rather were selected by the owner from among the various floor standing speaker options and then set up for 5.1 surround.
In fact, each of the two floor standing speaker sets is designed to be used as a full range stereo system. The use of multiple small drivers to attain bass response is a common strategy in floor standing speakers.
Obviously, I was unable to hear these speakers in their factory state, so my critique is limited to design features and choice of components. My intention is to educate and promote the work of DIY speaker builders like myself.
I have been building speakers since the mid 70's, and I have designed and built over a dozen stereo speaker systems, more than half of those in the past five years. And I'm still learning.
