Vietcong 2 - All Weapons Showcase 

This game made me made me aware that half-life 2 has a decent chunk of stock sounds.

2:25 - 2:42 - Sterling MK. IV sounds like a Half Life 2 SMG.

This game has some detail that some other dont even have at the times Like digesting bullet chain

Ah yes, finally another video that takes me back to 1968.

the Sterling sound is ripped directly from Half-Life 2. it was a stock sound effect, but Half-Life 2 had a specific amplification and a metallic grind to it, which are present on the one from Vietcong 2. I also noticed the PPSh-41 had the MP40 sound from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

This game really sounds good for a 2005 game. Plus animations tho

This I should say is a decent sequel to a fun game.

Silencer sound for pistol is just a hitsound lov how it's still using the same one

I remember when the weapons trailer for Vietcong 2 was released, back in... August or September 2005, shortly before the demo. I was really into guns in those days, so I was practically drooling when I saw the weapons list (it was rare to see an FPS with SO many guns in that age. And a lot of them were a rarity in videogames, like the FAL. Remember: this was before Far Cry 2, Modern Warfare or STALKER). I didn't like the game as much as I enjoyed the first one... but it's a good memory. Different times, different life...

I do appreciate FPS games with mag count instead of bullet pool. Also no mirrored gun models.

Huh it has the hitman silencer sound and reload sound i've played a lot of hitman 2 on the ps2 and I remember those sounds

Man the weapon placement/fov for the sequel is horrible. They’re enormous. The first game looked and felt pretty good. Dunno why they changed it.
