Vietnam doesn’t really want foreigners to stay in country longterm or they would gladly make it easier to do so just like Cambodia did long ago. Are you 55 in Cambodia? Go to any travel agency and pay $290 for a 12-month “ER retirement visa” with multiple entry option. No financial qualification or need to deposit any money into a Cambodian bank account. Go there and get an “ordinary visa” on arrival and 1-week later extend it to the “ER visa.”
You have to look at local persective as well. If they allow retirees foreigner visa, it would drive local housing to up and so is everything else. This would be bad news for local as their salary is much much lower even compared to those retirees from average to lower income from place like US. This is why wealthier countries don't have such rules.
On the other hand, Cambodia govt need $$$ to flow into their country to support local jobs and retirees forgeigner is great example. Since their economy is not a driving major in export, retirees visa will attract foriegner to offset the bill.

It makes sense, which is why I wonder why Cambodia which is a poorer country than Vietnam, and who DOES have a retirement visa with many western foreigners like me living there, has not suffered the fate you are talking about. A retirement visa for foreigners has been available in Cambodia for decades. We seem to have a positive effect on the local economy by boosting it and do not detract from it or cause inflation. Go figure.

I would like to ask you something, I have got my visa to Vietnam approved and its validation date ends in 19/6/2024 however the entrance date from 5/1/2014 to 3/2/2024 , I skipped this date already but as per my understanding I should be allowed entry till 19/6 however when I checked the Evisa now it states your Evisa is expired so I'm quite confused now on whether or not i will be allowed entry You response on this is highly appreciated

As usually the dates on evisa only show when it is valid from… and until… If you see from 5/1/2024 to 3/2/2024, it seems like a 30 days Visa. 19/6/2024 is likely something else we need to examine.
