I’m psyched about this vid. I just discovered you guys a couple months ago. You are extremely knowledgeable in the metal genre and are a great channel to find underrated bands.

Look, I respect your guy’s opinion and all but Mustaine did not write almost all the album, in fact he didn’t even write half of the 10 songs on there. Motorbreath was James’ first song he had wrote I am pretty sure and plus Cliff’s bass solo. Mustaine has credit on Four horsemen, metal militia, jump in the fire, and phantom lord and none of those are my favorite off the album. No remorse is hands down my favorite and funny enough Seek and destroy is the most popular song off that album and Mustaine didn’t even write it. Keep up the good work with the videos.

Things about this channel: Hands down, one of the funniest on RU-vid. You guys have a great sense of humor; The vids have good Infos and passionate opinions from people that love heavy music and know a lot about it; The chemistry among you is captivating. Anyway, it amazes me how much you worship bands like Testament, Megadeth, Bolt Thrower, Carcass, Pantera and Opeth. I mean, they're re great bands, but you love them on a level that I didn't expect. Before I forget: Retribution all day over Massacre's From Beyond. That's a mismatch 😆 Malevolent Creation has one of the best discographies in Death Metal. In synthesis, you are awesome!

That Dissection album needs another listening to. Seeing them with live with Morbid Angel and At The Gates….they were insane!!! Also, Monstrosity won their round and where was Monstrosity’s Imperial Doom?!? This, I command.

I can’t believe all 4 voted once upon the cross over none so vile it’s literally one of the best dm albums ever made lol.

One more thing! As a person who still loves Tool, I never listen to Lateralus. Never. It's always Animea or Undertow. I'm over Schism. Straight up. I skip it every time because it is the only Tool song I hear on anyone's regular rotation. The Grudge and Parabol have enough energy to keep me invested but the album is just so slow and boring. Jammin John loves that Reflections track and I'm glad he gave those last few some attention because you could just subtract the last 4 tracks and I wouldn't notice. Triad is OKAY at best. Ticks and Leeches is good until the super long mid section. Totally overrated album IMO. White Pony all day.

Rating a band by their last 5 albums seems too arbitrary. If this argument was weighted by first 5 records Metallica would’ve steamrolled that one. The only Pantera album that comes close to RtL or MoP is Cowboys from Hell

Once Upon the Cross over None So Vile for all four of you??? I'm rather biased against Deicide- only Legion would begin to compare to None So Vile in my mind-, but I remember enjoying Once Upon surprisingly so when I listened to it... but None So Vile is an absolute masterpiece, a true pinnacle death metal album.

This was awesome! Wasn’t able to watch live or get a question in for the episode but I will try to next time. If you guys ever wanted to do some kind of show on 70s hard rock, prog etc I would definitely be watching. There are so many hidden gems from back in the day, it’s pretty ridiculous actually. De Profundis Monolithic - Really hard choice but I love Cattle Decap. Utopia Banished - Not the biggest Opeth fan. Annihilation of the Wicked - Nile is one of my fave bands. Love Nile. Few touch Nile. Once Upon the Cross - I was jamming this to people who were stuck on Korn and brought them over to Deicide easily. Legion - Classic album. My favorite Deicde album. Heaven & Hell Chaos AD - Hard choice as La Sexorcisto is a classic. Cowboys From Hell - Seasons is a classic as well but Pantera all day everyday. Dawn of Possession - Onward was a good album but I didn't like the mixing on this album. Peace Sells - Best Megadeth album. The art of Parting - As I am not familiar with Iron Reagan. Prowler in the Yard - Brutal and insane album. Pig Destroyer's name is a reference to Cop Killer. Pantera - No one touches Pantera. SepticFlesh - Brilliant Symphonic Death Metal. Tie - Can't chose. Love both of these albums. Hypocrisy - Osculum Obscenum - Best album. Not a fan of other. Left Hand Path - As I haven't listened to this Death album. Covenant - Hard choice. Heartwork - Carcass rules. Deicide - Not this biggest Obituary fan. No opinion. Reign in Blood Tomb of the Mutilated - Although Pierced from Within is the best Suffocation album. The only one that made me pause and stand back to think was Obzen vs Mars. I really couldn't chose and I'm happy that one went to Jammin John and not me because I would have taken an hour. Once you said Dancers and Bleed, it was pretty much decided. But also, Electric Red and Lathargica (however it's spelled) are such good tunes. I think you made the right call but I feel as though I have betrayed my own blood by abandoning what is close to my fav Gojira album. Maybe The Link edges it out by a small bit. Blackwater Park beats Dream Theater into the ground. Good choice.

I'm an old fart in the uk and been into thrash/death ect since the mid 80's .I was lucky to see the like's of Morbid Angel/Bolt thrower/Carcass/Napalm Death in 89 on the gods of grind tour, just to give you some idea of my taste. I even saw SLAYERRRRRRR on the Reign in blood tour. Saw Immolation with Massacre in 91 in manchester here in the UK. But I just love your reviews and then these kind of uploads. Therefore I think there is a huge difference to range an album from another if you start in the 90s, the 00s or from the start. Metallica and their 3 first albums cant be outranked from another band because of their impact on the scene back then !! In black metal no one can out-of-place Bathory with their 3 first albums ! Or their vikings albums ! Burzum also shines on the northern sky in the second attack ! Hail Darkthrone and their impact to the scene ! My pointe is that the age of the listener sometimes decides which of the 2 albums is the greatest ...... To compares the impact from a grinder album as Terrorizer with a band several years after has NO meaning ! Got a ticket to Mercyful Fate to their reunion 2022 on Copenhell Copenhagen and if people dont understand THIS band and their meaning to others bands and badly grade this as just number 2 from another albums several years after then I stop to cheers ! Last 2 items : 1 Check out rhe danish doom death band Konvent or the even more metal band Heilung ! Jon is just plain wrong on that dying fetus album. I'm usually not even a fan of more polished production when it comes to death metal but it only makes that album more pummeling, not to mention the riffs all over it are top notch. Its a top 5 death metal release of the 2010s easily. Also all four of you picking deicide over none so vile is confusing me...

Iron Maiden Killers is super underrated; check out Twilight Zone and the end track Drifter. Solid album from top to bottom. I like it better than Master of Reality, but that is also because I like Vol 4 or SBS best.

Monstrosity vs Broken Hope not familiar with them???????? They're probably not in the basic manual of how to get into death metal and sound cool talking about it. You've homework guys. Monstrosity has some of the best technical death metal albums ever recorded ( understanding technical pre necro era).

Because Dying Fetus reigns supreme (and who the fuck disliked Reign Supreme's production?!), even though Monolith is far more diverse and interesting.. riffs for days. -28:30 From Beyond > Retribution? U wot?! :D Eve of the Apocalypse alone justifies death metal legend status. -45:10 Hm, by contrast, I find that chorus to be a huge anticlimax in that song. I always skip when I reach that part (Wilson sounds so flat & uninspired, no?).

You really need to check out Rotting Christ for sure. One of my favorites for years. I love pretty much everything from them. Theogonia might be a good start. My favorite album is Triarchy Of The Lost Lovers. They are more of a mid paced Greek black metal and the mid period era has more of a gothic vibe like Sleep Of The Angels. Last couple albums are okay but too similar and i wouldn't start with them if you are new to them.
