I love how stable the kayak is while still being nimble and quick. I wasn't expecting to be able to walk around on the thing, but I do often. I'm only 130lbs though. We also made it a jerry rigged tandem for 2 of us fishing and it works out great.

Not a hobie guy, just my opinion. But I really do love these walkthrough videos. Love seeing how other people setup their kayaks, they’re always good for new ideas.. really great videos dan !!

i found using the h rails as handles works well it is pretty stable standing i was out on the columbia river for eight hrs yesterday and would stand and stretch out every now and again

Shouldve highlighted the Outback's loading block when speaking about loading it without damaging the rudder. will allow for loading the outback bow first into a truck bed

Well i figured id give you guys a new sub so here i am. i love fishing, just cant do it often cause around where i live the fishing is sad, also really far away. id stand up in that yak, i'm 6" 210lbs. if i fell out it would be hilarious for anyone watching .

ok i decided which one i want i really liked the 3 waters big fish 105 found a good review vid of it and even showed a fisherman guy at my work and he said i have seen enough im going to get 2 of them 1 for him and 1 for his wife. I went with the smaller one cause i wanted something easy to haul and easy to put in. I think it is a good starter kayak and i intend to get the rutter with in in a packaged deal. So i have the kayak i want and will be ordering it this friday.

i want to ask which paddle would be good for this kayak so can start looking my price range starts at 200.00 and will go as high as 375.00 i want a carbon fiber one did see one i kinda liked with a carbon fiber handle and fiber glass for the paddles but would like to know the proper lenth of paddle for this kayak im 6ft tall if that matters any.

with your experience id like your thoughts on the Sun Dolphin Boss SS Sit-On/Stand On Top Angler Kayak (Gray, 12.3-Feet) compared with the bigfish 105 and if there are any kayaks more stable then these 2 but doesnt exceed 1,000 dollars for fishing.

@@HeadwatersKayak I bought the RAM ball setup. Its okay but I like the LockNLoad system. Now if YakAttack makes a camera boom mount using the LockNLoad, that would be awesome.

Im new to the channel and looking for the most stable kayak for fishing. I have never been in a kayak so stability is important. I have looked so far for the most stable kayaks through your vids and through other references the big fish 105 was one that pulled my attention. The other for much cheaper i found to be possibly more stable then the big fish 105 is the Sun Dolphin Boss SS Sit-On/Stand On Top Angler Kayak (Gray, 12.3-Feet). this kayak is not in any of your reviews i have noticed. I had found a vid where this kayak was tested for stability with a heavier person trying to flip it. Im a very light person so finding a kayak that is difficult to flip with a heavier person is very good to find cause it adds a certain safe feeling that will be less likely to flip for me with how light i weigh compared to some one heavier, and it will add some benefit to friends of mine that weigh more then me that can use it with out hesitation.

Chris Gruver stability is only important to the very first timer. Once you get a trip or two under your belt you’ll quickly realize efficiency and tracking is most important and stability is not as big of a deal as it seems at the moment. If you have the opportunity to get with a local dealer and try kayaks I highly recommend it. I don’t talk about sun dolphins because they are garbage to paddle. The ascend is well made but still very very slow. If i was buying in today’s market I’d grab a 2018 Vibe Seaghost while they are on closeout for $729. Great deal comes with a paddle and a rudder. And they are just great paddling yaks.

@@HeadwatersKayak thank you for the quick response time and review ill take a took at the Seaghost The paddles mean little to me from your vids when i do find an buy a new kayak ill make sure the paddle will be bought separately and is excellent. When i get to the point in buying the kayak i will make sure to ask you wish paddle is best for the kayak i choose so i dont waste my money and time on a paddle that is junk or the wrong length.

The owner looks like a “bigger guy” any idea of his weight? I am 275 and considering a new Outback, but scared it won’t float me well and get a lot of water through the scuppers and such

@@ericb7991 Yeah pretty dry, I can't really recall any water that was an issue and there is a big freaking hole in that kayak where the fins go. I've got some vids posted on my channel, check them out.
