This one is a head scratcher for me. I get the need to load the trail hip and I think I understand how to follow your excellent demo. But here’s the thing. If I load my hip properly I have to flex (loose my hand in my hip) which lowers my COM (my mid chest lowers) but boomers encourage getting taller in the backswing for speed. It not anatomically possible to do both. What am I missing?. Grt video as always. Tx
Great question! We want the trail leg to lose flex in the backswing and reflex through the transition. The leg losing flex helps the COM go up. The gap in the trail hip can still close through the process I just described.
