This is perfect for those who have problems with their hands. I have Rheumatoid Disease and my hands sometimes cramp up if I hand sew too much. This is a game changer for those with disabilities.

I choose the R foot cause it’s easy to use & it’s an embroidery foot. As far as stabilizer I just used the batting. My top fabric was pretty stiff though. You could always put more stabilizer in depending on your fabric.

I am curious to understand why you have the regular sewing foot on your Epic rather than the Q foot? Oh ignore me, I see it is the R foot.

Yes I used the R embroidery foot.

I bought a 200x200mm hoop for my Designer Brilliance 80 because I was told it would fit my machine. In the machine software there is no ability to select the 200x200 metal hoop. I was also told by a Husqvarna Viking educator that all I needed do was download the latest update from the Husqvarna Viking site and install it on my machine. Checking my machine I have the latest update from Oct or Nov 2020. There are no new updates. I guess I'm out of luck and bought a hoop that I can't use.

Oh no!!!!! Yeah the 200x200 is only for the designer epic 1&2 & the designer ruby. I have no idea why they told you that. Sorry to hear. I hope you can find a fellow sewer to buy it from you. There are other metal hoops that will work with your machine though. 100x100 or 130x180

I have a 200x200 metal hoop that I've used on my Pfaff for several years; I got a Topaz 50 earlier this year and I've used the hoop and selected 200 x 200 hoop from the menu and I have had no problems. That's the same hoop size I select when using the plastic 200x200 hoop.

@@JRJonesOD Thanks for the info. I've not tried the 200x200 metal on my machine using it as a plastic 200x200. It is still wrapped in its original packing. I wanted the 200x200 for quilting. The 100x100 and 130x180 are too small for projects I have in mind.

I just bought a 100 x 100 metal hoop and my Designer Epic pops a message saying "Attach Hoop: 100 x 100 M Please make sure the hoop clicks into place and that the attached hoop is the same as the selected hoop on screen" I checked and everything looks fine until I try to embroider and the message pops up again and again. So frustrated!
