I heard it may take up as much as 2/3 more time to film a woodland trip than to go without video. Tom, that is what I appreciate is that you make the effort worthwhile and share your craft, experience, living history, and passion. Keep on your path, please keep sharing. I am not locked down, self isolated to a great extent, but have to work very extended hours overnights and your videos are a welcome break, I usually boil a coffee s as d wink it up a bit when I can sit down to your positive energy. Yet another great video Tom, my ancestors were the Rus Viking, who moved from Kiev to Italy in the 1200’s as mercenaries to the king of Naples, then finally finding their way to England. I am proud of my heritage and love trying out the old ways when I go outside. Keep up the good work, skål my friend

So nice to sit back and see the forest and what new things you have Tom! Great idea with the cover for the fuel flask! wouldnt want to drink that! I had a brass primus stove with the pump mechanism years ago and sadly gave it away as i had no idea how to use it and no internet then !We found a clay pipe from early settlers in NZ and it is still in good condition. I love the Viking or Norsemen theme as I had ancestors from Orkney Islands. Their influence is present to this very day in the art , language , writing and more. Nice videos. Interesting info about different groups of Vikings going different directions. My ancestors are from northern Norway. I do wool and alpaca yarn spinning. Love getting raw fleeces fresh from shearing and processing them. Looking into nettle spinning. Love nettles as a super nutritious plant and the fiber is linen-like. Thank you for great video. Love all the leather and especially the rawhide. I have braided a tiny bit of that for horse equipment.

Awesome as always Tom. You’re spot on with your estimation of the day to day lives of the Norse people. Much has been romanticzed about the Vikings and while the warrior part is a component of our heritage, we were largely a people making an existence.

Loving your videos. Especially the pipe smoking. I was a pipe smoker from 16 to 50, and gave up and started vaping. I recently cleaned up all my pipes, bought some fresh tobacco ( Peterson Killarney, and am now enjoying it again.

After a VERY long time of wanting and dreaming for an EAGLE KETTLE I recently got one...I LOVE IT. I'm in Florida USA..it came a long way to be with me. I just used it again about an hour ago...somehow coffee tastes better from my new kettle. Thank you for sharing your wonderful camp once again with us. I wanted to say thank you! Because of your videos, I have explored the origins of my last name "Ingles". I was always told it was a Viking name. And I discovered that it is in fact a Viking name! We came to the new world from Scotland in the 16OO"s, from the Inglis Clan. The clan has its origins in the Norse Clan Ingjaldr! I am so happy to embrace my Viking heritage. You have a new fan.
